Can anyone tell me how the selection process works for each country, I'm thinking of doing something similar for PAW.

Spikey, Im quite sure every National Olympic Committe/Organization chooses players to represent their nation at the Olympics, Players can also put forth (sp) themselves to be eligble or not, It's a matter of the your own National Olympic Committe, I don't think the WTATOUR has much authority over it either.

Im not to sure on that one, If it was 64 entries and 200 odd countries, then I would suggest maybe 1 per Tennis Playing country??? Not to sure about doubles, could be a entire different combination, Your best to find a Olympic Draw and have a look. Or write an email to your National Olympic Committe,

and If it was 64 spots and around 200 Counteies, and that the Olympics want the best eligble draw, Rankings might be a possibility.

Only a maximum of 3 players for country are allowed UNLESS a country has more than 3 in the top 50 WTA so they can send a total of 4 :)

Rank requirements? Well, it depends of the cutoff for the first 48 players commited as the ITF keeps a total of 16 WC :eek: :eek: to be given...some of them to 'tennis undeveloped' countries like Haiti or Dominican Republic as they have done in the past

i do think that you need to make it selective like in fed cup.. btw are you doing the team capitains?
