Can't say I like the draw too much. :(

I'm disappointed that players like Sonal, Shruti, Samrita, etc are not present. :sad:

Vanc & Kulikovskaya are not in this draw. So I guess 2 more players have withdrawn from the MD, unless they withdrew themselves. :confused:

danker -- tell me about it. I was pi**ed off when I saw Shruti's name missing. Sonal may still be injured.

Vanc had made the main draw, as I said earlier, on the spot for a silver exempt wildcard, after Rodinonova made it in with the Leon-Garza withdrawal. The question is if there is one more withdrawal that put Koulilovskaya into the main draw or if she chose not to go at all.. I dearly hope that Alicia didn't withdraw ..

I was told that the 3rd wildcard is not at the discretion of the organizers. If a silver exempt asks for it, they can give; otherwise, the spot goes to the "next-in" player in the end. Only two wildcards this time, as the one silver exempt (Pratt) had made it in much earlier already without a wildcard. Anyway, so Rushmi couldn't be given a wildcard and she has to play qualies.

thx for the explanation, coz as much as i love Sania and Isha,
Rushmi after all is actually ranked higher than Sania, and mere 10 places behind Isha,
