That stinks. Wow--the prices really went up alot. I guess it's due to the increase in oil prices. Hopefully you'll get to see her as well at the Rogers Cup and Bell tournament in Quebec.

she need a ranking for Montreal... not sure the cut off for the MD/qualies... if they will take pre Wimbledon ranking or post Wimbledon ranking...
No Challenge Bell in Quebec city for Tamira this year unless the plan change. It's too long to wait for that tournament after the US Open. And the tournament don't want to assume the cost as it's a very small tournament. Tamira is very popular with the volunters in Quebec city but.. fans are absent and they don't really know anything in tennis so, they don't put pressure for big names...

Well hopefully it will work out for the French Open then. Or the Washington tournament--I remember you went there last year too? Or maybe even the US Open!

Yep I was at Washington tournament only for the final weekend. It was not planned it's just that when Mimi won the Thursday, I decided to book my flight and take the risk. But Mimi doesn't plan to play those small tournaments this year. Plan my change, we never know.
US Open open for sure, I'm there every year. And the Canadian Open is in Montreal this year so.. home sweet home! But there is too many months before those tournaments

Hang in there! I never thought I would survive until March again. I was even thinking about going to Canada for the Rogers Cup last summer, because I was having withdrawals, lol. Pretty expensive though, so I understand.

I just happened to find out last week that Aravane was playing in Clearwater, in an ITF, which is about 2 and a half hours from where I live. I have to go--it would be a shame if I didn't. I made a banner and everything.

My point is, I have to soak up this tennis while it's here, because when it's gone, I won't be able to see it live again for another year.

Re: Tamira 2012 Cheering Thread

Sorry for the delay in reporting, but I've been on the go constantly. Saw the second set of this match in Miami. Tamira broke to the lead and was hitting well but looked like she was in some discomfort, and called for the trainer after losing her break. She received some treatment on the court and played one more game, getting broken and couldn't go on. Felt so bad for her, coming off the wrist problem. Really hope she is going to be OK.
