As expected..

The 3-0 H2H advantage is showing. As well as the gap in experience and the added boost of the homecrowd. I don't understand why people are getting behind her so quickly. She needs another two years of development. Her 1/7 points at net and her movement is the telling tale.

Re: As expected..

This match isn't over yet...if Ana can settle down a bit in the 2nd set it could get interesting. But Venus is playing amazingly.

Goodbye WTA and Jelena. It was nice being your fan once.

Re: As expected..

And why in the world is she standing in so close to Venus' first serve? Not too bright!

Venus isnt playing that well though... Ivanovic needs to stand farther back on Venus' serve...

Re: As expected..

I think a lot of people are getting behind her so quickly because A) She's made an Grand Slam Final, and that attracts people's attention. B) She seems like a nice person and the kind of player people want to support

Ana played very sloppy in the game she got broken.

Re: As expected..

Venus has been very sluggish. Ana is dictating play. Venus has, however, served big on the important points but she has been letting herself get into holes. She needs to step up. Ana is hitting well of the ground but variety is killing her.

Re: As expected..

Wow am I seeing a different match? Venus seems to be dictating more points and isn't hitting a lot of UFE's. Venus just overpowers Ana imo.

Re: As expected..

Venus has stepped it up, and as I've said before, Ana can't handle Venus' movement. Plain and simple.
