Wild Cards

I'm Wondering who'll get the WCs.

Youlia Fedossova is #6 next in MD so i'm sure she wont get in so she has one

Alize Cornet #8 next in MD, also wont get in MD and will probably get a WC

Maybe they'll give one to one of these : Sanchez, Parmentier, or Cohen-Aloro, maybe Johansson or Foretz too.. Can you confirm one of these ideaS?

Re: Wild Cards

I think Fedossova and Cornet would be defintes.
The others will be out Steph Foretz, Parmentier, Johansson, Pichet, Cohen A & Olivia Sanchez- probably the first 5 will get it.
Then there is 1 Aussie wilcard- I think Dellaqua

I think QD Wildcards will be US Junior Winner, Andieux, De Guberanis, Haring, Huck, Thorpe, Pavlovic (maybe an outsider for a Main Draw WC) & Coin

Re: Wild Cards

For MD, I think: Cornet, Fedossova, Johansson, Foretz, Parmentier, Cohen-Aloro, and Cindy Chala. I know Chala is a bit of an outside pick, but she is France's best player on the junior tour at the moment and that might do it.

For Q: Pavlovic, Haring, Vedy, and Coin plus three juniors: Larriere, Rodier, and Radovanovic. Maybe Andrieux or Huck over Haring or Coin

Tatiana Golovin, Timea Bacsinzky, Petra Kvitova, Kristina Mladenovic, Laura Robson

Re: Wild Cards

My tips For MD :

Fedossova (even if she's been sucking horribly lately)
Cornet (100% sure)
Johansson (won her 1st round last year as a WC)
Parmentier (won Biarritz 25K on clay)
Foretz (former top100)
Dellacqua or Ferguson (but Casey is closer to the top100)
For the last 2, I go with Cohen Aloro (better relationship with federation) and after it will be between Pichet and Sanchez, they refused the WC to Virginie last year but she qualified, Olivia is a good claycourter, the final decision will be interesting, one of them will have to play qualies.

For qualies WC

Julie Coin
Mayline Andrieux (but she's not playing so much, don't know why)
Laurène Fayol (top 350 and progressing)
Irena Pavlovic
Violette Huck
American junior WC

For remaining wc's, I think Laura Thorpe deserves it but she's still injured, they used to give at least something to juniors so maybe 2006 national champions have a chance, they're all playing well : Charlotte Rodier (under14), Cindy Chala (under16) and Stéphanie Vongsouthi (under18)

I will consider surprising and not fair to give QualiesWC to other players than these (maybe a chance for Vedy, Haring or Radovanovic who received all WC in the past...)

Re: Wild Cards

Seventeen-year-old Madison Brengle of Dover, Del., has been awarded a wild-card entry into the 2007 French Open women’s singles qualifying tournament.
Brengle earned her entry into the French Open prelimin by winning an eight-player USTA Wild Card Tournament at the Boca West Tennis Club in Boca Raton, Fla.

Currently ranked No. 288 in the world, she won her first pro singles title at the $10,000 USTA Pro Circuit event in Baltimore in 2005 as a qualifier and reached the finals of two USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 events (Hammond, La., and Clearwater, Fla.) this year.

The USTA invited a group of eight American players, age 20 or younger, to compete for the women’s wild card last week. In the final, Brengle defeated Mary Gambale, who won the wild card in the French Open qualifying tournament two years ago, 6-4, 6-3.

Other players who participated in the tournament were Julia Cohen, Alexa Glatch, Jamie Hampton, Ellah Nze, Melanie Oudin and Ashley Weinhold.

I'd take twice the amount of money she gets for the 1st round.

Three times, if it's a match on Court Central against a seeded player.
