Re: Wild Cards

I am so tired of Lucic, she is not ready for such big events. I am not against giving one or two to other girls than French, but seriously Lucic
I hope that Chala and Larrière will have one for the qualies, they both withdrew today from their tournament, I hope this is a good sign.

So what ? She got crushed by Castano. Vesnina is in a worse form than Rezai.
Lucic should play challengers, that is where she belongs for the moment. There are so many other better choices as foreigners than her like Cirstea. Anyway, the FFT will give WCs to French girls as always, you can be sure of that.

Re: Wild Cards

My updated analysis. I put what I consider to be shoe-ins in bold, and in the order of probability.

Maindraw:
1. Cornet- she's young, playing fairly well, high rank
2. Fedossova- young, high rank
3. Johansson- high rank, in good favor with FFT
4. Parmentier- good rank, pretty young, FFT likes her
5. Cohen-Aloro- good form, high career rank

6. Foretz- former top 100, decent current rank
7. Pichet- decent rank
(8. Australian- Dellacqua)

Qualifying
1. Huck- good form, young
2. Pavlovic- good form, young
3. Chala- France's top junior
4. Radovanovic- been injured/not playing well, but young and FFT likes her

5. Hesse- only 14 and doesn't have many results but there's ususally one out of the blue young player and she's been getting a lot of WC love
6. Haring- good rank
7. Coin- good rank
(8. US- Brengle)

I don't think they have room to give Sanchez a WC and she'll play qualies as a direct entry. They may go with youth and put Huck and Pavlovic in the MD instead of Foretz and Pichet, in which F+P would play qualies directly. If that happens, two extra qualifying WCs would open up and probably go to two out of the juniors: Larriere, Ciolkowsli, and Rodier.

Tatiana Golovin, Timea Bacsinzky, Petra Kvitova, Kristina Mladenovic, Laura Robson

Re: Wild Cards

Great analysis
I agree with you especially for the MD ones.

As regards the Q draw, I would add that Cindy has committed to a Grade A event next week during the qualies. So I don't know what choice she will make. She withdrew from a tournament this week, it may be the sign that she is preparing RG.

Gracia will have one for sure. If she does well in Saint-Gaudens, she will probably get it for the MD draw.

Concerning Amandine, you may be right, she played well against Nastya P in France and received a MD WC in Saint-Gaudens. I would prefer Kristina Mladenovic to get it though. She is a greater talent ; but I think she is still injured.
I hope that Haring won't have a WC, she is a complete disaster.

Re: Wild Cards

Hmm, I think that means Chala might be getting a MD WC, because I can't imagine her not getting one at all!

Re: Wild Cards

If there are some 4 more withdrawals, Youlia may not need a WC. Myskina and Zvonareva won't be there for sure. She has a little chance to go in directly.

I really hope you are right concerning Cindy.

If the FFT could hurry up and give the names soon, it would be very nice
