How you can lose match against Anabel when you're in TOP15?

This is just

Gilles Simon, Nicolas Almagro, Tommy Haas, Jack Sock

Petra had better pray she draws some huge mugs in the early rounds of AO With SF points to defend she's heading out of the top ten

Receiving two bakery products from Domi is a new low. It comes to something when Pavyluchenkova is the fitter player

Did she win a title last year? Feels like the last time she won one was in Bali

I don't think she did. She probably garnered points by reaching 3rd/4th GS rounds and a QF. It seems that when you get hold of a decent ranking it's relatively easy to maintain it because you draw totally useless scrubs in early rounds. And if your section of the draw falls apart, you can even make a QF or SF.

And I've just realised Serena entered a MM tournament and didn't tank. I think she's going for all 4 slams this year.

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2

Petra is overachiever. She won slam too early. I guess shes still not mature enough to be top player. She's Ana #2.

And I agree with Brena. You don't have to win anything important to be in top 20.

"You can't win OVA our Aussie Sam Sto-sur" This is in my head everytime she loses Such a catchy song, whoever wrote/sang it

I half feel sorry for Sam, but that turns to when I remember that as mentally weak as she is, she still has GS There is no justice.

Watch her draw Sveta in R1

She is not mature, definitely, but no way she's an overachiever, she's probably one of the best players who have won only one slam.

She could be a multiple slam winner. However, she is far from that atm. Lack of confidence & application/fitness. She can't use her asthma as an excuse for this slump (sorry if that sounds harsh). She won those titles on North American HC with those asthma issues last season. She overplayed before USO & paid for it with her early exit. I'm not a fan of many "BBB", but her Wimbledon destruction of Pova is up there as one of my favourite performances. I like Petra's personality. She seems like a nice girl. The tour is better with an in form Petra.

The first week of the AO on the women's side will be a mess. The seeds will drop like flies. So many slumping players.

One result that pleased me yesterday was Errani serving bakery products to Kirilenko

I'm not a fan at all, but it would be disgusting to watch Vika's dominance for years. Petra is lazy, that's so obvious, but she won't become such a mess like Ana. Nobody will and nobody can. Petra is inconsistent, but she's not totally screwed.
