Q: Jelena, you lost... Strange match, the impression is that you gifted her a match, she didn't have to work hard on the court, she just had to sit and wait.
J: Yes, I really wasn't playing on a high level. Simply, I can't find my game on this surface, is that psychological or on some other level... Simply, I can't handle it and I can't feel secure, so I really was... I didn't give 20%, I played bad, low level from my part and my opponent took the advantage of that. She really didn't need to work hard, just to get 2 balls back to the court and that was all.
Q: Unlike during some other seasons, this is your 3rd early round exit, it was never a secret that you don't like playing on grass. Now this time it can be justified, because your 1st part of the season was really well, so you might be burnt out.
J: I am. I played really well in the 1st part of the season, many matches, many tournaments, traveling all the time. After losing on RG, where I had high expectations, I felt a bit down and tired. I'm like a flat balloon at the moment, which is normal. I need a little time to get get some rest and prepare for hardcourts.
Q: You said you'll never give up on winning a slam. It's a big goal. What would be another goal for the rest of the season?
J: I play very well on hardcourts, the next part of the season is on hardcourts, I love USO series, after that we have Asian swing, I'd love to prepare well and, of course, to be healthy, to be able to give my best. USO is one of the slams where I play the best, where I played the final and made my best slam result. I was close to winning it and I played a few semifinals. I'd like to play very well there, so it's my goal to play on a very high level there. Here on Wimbledon I just... I have no words, the way I was playing today, it would be better if I didn't play at all, really, it was like a dark humor. But, that's it, what can I do. It's all sport.
Q: Tell us for the end, two questions left. First one is about your plans, I assume you're going on vacation now and then you'll go to America?
J: Yes, as I said, I need to recover and get some rest, I have a problem with my hip, it hurts. I need to fix that. Then I'll start training, my first tournament is Montreal, so it's in a month or more. I have plenty of time to get rest, to get ready and motivated for the next events.
