Guys relax, JJ can play shit one day and GOAT it up the next day.

Serena gives her exactly what she likes, pace and power. The only way JJ is gonna win is if JJ is GOAT from the start, and Serena has a slow start.

Exactly. No need to get too upset. If this was a live rubber and JJ had lost with this scoreline, I'd be upset.

This tournament is really hard on your emotions. JJ lost a big match against Li yesterday and then had to come on today to play a dead match knowing she was already in the Semis.

I'm glad she hit so many winners , even if her error count was high. Maybe she'll be pissed she lost yesterday and play better against Serena tomorrow.

After watching the first set of the match I am absolutely confident all the frustration here is misguided. Did you guys see the first game of the match?! JJ made it look so easy, as soon as Sara started fighting she knew it was time to relax. She got impatient and tried to end the points early with so many winners (and errors).

I am not bothered at all about this match. She gets one of her favourite match ups tomorrow so we can wait then

edit: as I continue watching the match she hit some really nice winners and was playing some nice points too.

Tank or not, relax or not, Jelena lost to Sara. And this score is going to be discussed tomorrow. People will forget about tanking and will remember only this depressing result. This result is from the same level as her losses to Ivanova or Diyas or Oudin.

Well now I look this on perspective and I say you all are right, she was trying her game and didn't look upset even after she came to the net

Anyone can give me a good rundown of what happened? Other than Jelena being Irena. Was Sara playing really well, was JJ just not caring/fighting?
Sara's immense topspin top really bothered Jelena. The topspin directed to her forehand made it really loopy and slow and land short (usually in the service box) and Sara immediately pounced. Jelena produced some really good pace with the fhdtl and had many winners off that side. Jelena was weird. She knew she didn't need to win so to ME it looked like she played without boundary. Her second serves were faster than usual, as if she was going for more because she didn't care if they went in or out. Surprisingly many landed in and she only had I think 1 or 2 dfs. Her bh was shaky imo. Lots of errors off that side.

Sara was more aggressive than usual I think. I don't ever watch her because I don't like watching bitter bitches in early rounds. She plays well on indoor courts (finals of Paris indoors no matter how fucking weak that draw was). Sara always fights and JJ knew she didn't have to. No arguments with Cicak, no idiotic challenges resulting in arguments with said umpire, and she didn't yell at Marko throughout. I don't even remember her speaking to him. Her movement was good, and got a lot of balls into play, and saved 4 match points when she lost like a 25 shot rally after losing focus on a Sara fh that looked way out, but was called in. The mp was the 25 shot rally and after Sara's fh was called in, she shanked a fh into the bottom of the net after a few more shots (saved 2 mps down 3-5 15-40 with winners, and saved 2 mps down 0-40 4-5 with winners with 1 being an amaze low fh volley into the court court).

All in all I enjoyed what I saw PER SE, but still annoying seeing her lose to one of the most unlikeable players on the face of the planet. But oh well. She can't ever return well anymore. She was in doubles digits for return errors. Off the Sara Errani serve. Let that sink in...

Praying for no bakery products against Serena. We all know if she pulls off the upset with God on her side, she'll lose the finals anyways

Despite not making many winners, she's still an agressive baseliner, and she doesn't only win matches by waiting the opponent's mistake, though she can do that at times also.

Thanks for the recap, tildeloltilde. Worrisome about the BH, and I hope her serve stays with her--she'll need it to have any chance against Serena.

Wow, I totally disagree. Whereas those loses were telling of her mental state/form, I don't think this match is because of the state--it was a dead rubber and waning motivation can be expected. Also, Errani is not even close to the poor quality of player you listed..

I cheer on scrubs.

I mean itīs always awful to play this not important matches. She was probably in the Semis with her head. Iīm just mad about 2 things:
1.she let the points and money go away.
2. She Broke back to 5:4 in each set and got broken by Errani again. That isnīt how she should play. Terrible.

I didnīt watch but either way she knows how to push Serenaīs buttons. She just needs a solid serve and her head in the game.

The moment she walked on court I thought she looked sickly.

Donīt let them border you MB. I really donīt know what this users issue is but I noticed the JJ hate as well.

I honestly think it isnīt connected to JJ at all, he/she is just bitching and wants attention.

Relax and let her hate Empresses being awesome as she is.

He's OK. For as long as I've been part of TF he's been an avid contributor to the Empress relevance which makes him an honorary Jankobitch. He knows that and accepts it too, so .

Her first serve and BHDL were miserable yesterday. These shots killed her yesterday. I hope she'll play better vs Sarin. Good luck, JJ.
