hope JJ/Kata can mentally toughen it out and win it. Tokyo has really been a disappointing tournament hasn't it

Chan/Huber serving for match 6-1 *5-2

no magic like in toronto i guess

Let´s pray for a solid draw in Bejing! She can do it! #_# And for Sloane to draw Venus.

I'm not even expecting her to make YEC anymore. This is just pathetic. Kvitova has passed her and Wozniacki and Kerber are only a couple of points away from her.

It's gonna be a really really tight race between Petra, Jelena, Angelique, Caroline, Roberta and Sloane for those last two spots.

This tournament really mattered and she flopped while many competition are fighting for their lifes...

She needs to make QF in Beijing at least.

Re: Jelena Jankovic Cheering Thread - 2013 Season - Volume 15

this is really bad bad. Now both Woz and Ker are to close if they win they will over run her. And both of them will be free in R1 Bejing. JJ has really to shit into winning gear Top 10 style.

She tanked this YEC race badly really badly. It would've been okay to loose against Venus but this loose against Genie was to much.

It's still shocking for me that Jelena made her comeback into top10 with no game at all

She still has a chance to be alternate in Istanbul and take a lot of money for doing nothing. And then she should play Sofia and win there few matches against quite good opponents.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Jelena doesn't have to play well. If she plays well she could be top 4.

But her competition has been playing comparatively worse. Stosur, Kvitova and Kerber have all done terribly this year by their standards.

If she plays YEC, I think, she can't play Sofia too

Jelena has to want it. She clearly didn't look like she wanted it in her R3 match.

When she starts showing she wants it instead of complaining every second she gets, she will shine. I've never seen her fight so hard and show so much emotion as she did in Charleston. I want that back.

I seriously thought things would fall into place for her this tournament.

You have no agency in this match. You might start to wonder if you have free will. Perhaps solipsism is true after all - is it Jankovic's world and you're simply allowed to live exist in it? It's basically existential waterboarding.
