Despite not making many winners, she's still an agressive baseliner, and she doesn't only win matches by waiting the opponent's mistake, though she can do that at times also.

Anyone know the weather forecast? Should be there rain? And are there flood lights? That MM Rolly Garis or whatever it's called has no lights, so I assume the German slam will?

Does this clay play like RG clay? The last thing we need is another tournament with clay like Stuttgart or (God forbid) MADRID...

There used to be that Berlin tournament and I heard that clay played like RG clay, which helps JJ so I assume this outdoor clay will be good for JJ.

Still scared she won't focus since she won Bogota and this field is miles better than Bogota

Makarova and Vesnina won the Rg title. It seems that whoever takes out the royal duo, wins the tournament.

Re: Jelena Jankovic Cheering Thread - 2013 Season - Volume 14

Petkovic just won a $50K ITF in France, so if Jelena does happen to meet Andrea, she should be too tired. And assuming JJ makes it to the QF/SF stage, Beck or Pfizenmaier will take the other one out, and Andrea will take out Sofia or vice versa, Goerges just lost to someone who had never won a Grand Slam match ever and just came out of retirement (and she was bagelled by her) and Lucie has been doing horrible on clay (and all season for that matter) and Cornet and Halep will take at least the other one out and Zakopolova recently lost to Falconi in 3 sets (LMFAO) so this draw is perfect for a new coming MM clay tournament and JJ a top 20 player should do very well.

Still scared Jelena will realize how much of a joke it is and not perform well. She CANNOT end her clay season on a low note... I expect nothing less than the title!

AJDE JELENA!!!!!!

Re: Jelena Jankovic Cheering Thread - 2013 Season - Volume 14

Rain delay in Germany today This does not bode well for the tournament. We don't need another Kuala Lumpur 2012 or Birmingham 2012 tournament again

I just checked weekly radar forecast for precipitation, and today and tomorrow shows 40% chance of rain, while Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday show 10% chance of rain. Saturday goes up to 30% chance of rain, and Sunday goes down to 20% chance of rain.

I think it'll be okay Monday and Tuesday will probably have pushed back matches if we're unlucky, but as the week goes on the matches should get to be played. Cross your fingers everyone!

JJ only lost to her because the rain favored Oudin and they schedule Oudin first on court and she finished but the rain forced JJ to play Doi and Zheng in 1 day so she was in court for like 4 hours in one day so she was exhausted the next day.

I watched Melanie play some today and she was disgusting. It still makes me mad how even a tired JJ on grass could lose to her

She plays 3rd on the center court tomorrow and first match starts at noon!

So if play starts on time and no rain or any delays, it should be around 9 am or so for my time zone to watch so I wouldn't have to wake up too early
