Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2

I know some of you guys may not agree but the way Radwanska is playing Venus now reminds me so much of how Jelena used to play. Playing aggressive when needed to and with superb defense.

I hope JJ or Maria or Na will win RG I need some good player as winner. I don't want to have another random winner.

I am just watching Isner vs Mathieu, and they are playing about 6 hours,
but this stats are ridicolous:
BP conversation:
Isner 2/3
Mathieu 3/21

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2

Guys once JJ retires (which is probably soon) who are you going to be rooting for? I really love the JJ fans and it would be nice to cheer with you guys for someone that might actually have a brain sometime in the future?

I like Sharapova, but not for her game lol but for her looks
Kvitova is probably the best to root for right now, but her game is so aggressive, I really would like a player who had both aggresive and defensive play
Aga's game is okay, but I cant stand her in any other way........
Wozniaki is tolerable, but its like rooting for JJ but without any potential
Azarenka........ NEXT (cant stand the B.......all basher)
I actually think Pavs is the next best person to cheer, but I wish she had better movement and wasnt such a mental wreck
Kerber is meh.....nothing to love, nothing to hate

what do u think?

Sharapova & Pavlyuchenkova

Aga. She's about the only person I like now with half a brain. And even that half is questionable.

I don't know. Kerber probably. She's the only top player that I like to watch. If only Nastya could bring her game to the next level = lose some weight. But it's not like I'm going to torture myself for cheering on them, the way I do it now.

Honestly, I like(d) Jelena 100/100 on the WTA. The rest of the girls I like don't even come close. I'm a big fan of Aga, Vera, Ana, I generally like Vika, and some other players like Barthel, Ula, but none of them are really interesting enough forces to spend much time following them (except maybe Vika).

Vera/Ana used to be, Aga is starting to (but she's Vika's pigeon, which is embarrassing).

No one else out there entertains me. I liked the style of players like Cornet, Chakvetadze but they suck too bad. On the other hand, I hate rooting for obvious winners (I'm more for underdogs) so likes of Masha, Serena don't interest me.

Basically, I'm as crazy as Jelena and once she retires I'll retire from the WTA.

I cheer on scrubs.

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2

^ Aww truthfully I dont like anyone else in tennis either.....no one has the game, the style, the personality, the humanity, the craziness, the drama like Jeca. I probably will never be this big of a fan of womens tennis after Jeca is gone. But I am sure someone else will come in the next 10 years so till then I might just choose a temporary pawn...

The person closest to Jeca in the past was IMO Martina Hingis. I liked watching her game and her personality, but Jeca takes it to a whole new level. No one can ever be like JJ again

I just wish she had a slam or 2 to seal her name into the hall of fame......she def deserves it

Angie or Masha

And of course Julia Cohen. I can't say anything about her game yet , but she's my fave now. At least she's able to win more than one match in more than one tournament per month.
