Yeah, I can't imagine his knees could take back to back HC tournaments. Better to rest for clay domination

Andy will be #2 seed for Miami but I'm not convinced he will make it to the finals.

DelPo is done. He is exhausted. It will need a major flop from Rafa to lose this now.

I'm sure Roger is not playing because he is no longer with IMG. Nadal also left IMG. maybe that is also reason why he will skip Miami.

not good for ATP & tournament but big chance for other players.

Miami courts are faster I think Andy like faster courts

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2

As much as I love going there, the IW crowd is always awful. There were cheering loudly on Delpo's DFs, shanked volleys, and I think a few even booed when one of Rafa's first serves got called out

WD to Rafa though, definitely raised his game in the last set; Delpo let everything get to his head after one lousy service game.

This will be the fluke and only big tournament victory for Mallorca this season. Bye.

So far 3 titles for Rafa this year.

Nadal was so happy, it means a lot to him. I hope we will see Novak-Rafa finals soon

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2

Why is everyone so surprised with Caro's winners stats? I'm pretty sure she played many matches when she didn't hit more than 5 winners, against SW (USO 2011), Kvitova (Wimbledon), Ivanovic (IW) etc.

I'd rather not see those for awhile I hope no RG final between them again. That final last year was a flop

Yeah, not as if this is some new development Her level was reasonable against Sharapova.

I remember that match against Serena in the SF of USO. She couldn't hit a winner until the middle of second set when Serena's level dropped a bit. I even think that her first winner was a net cord. But Serena was maaaad in that match, it felt like she wanted Caro to finish the match with 0 winners. She ran after some impossible balls, just to touch the ball.

It's not like Caro had a chance to hit more winners. Maria ended every ball she could and Caroline just pushed. Nothing new.
