^That's such a shame because there's no other sport like football. Just the amount of drama and fanaticism puts it above any other sport hands down

It's not my favorite sport, but I love all the euphoria. I'm such a bandwagoner, lol.

Yes, Ma is correct (for once ). Football can be amazing then crush your dreams in one fell swoop. It really is a brilliant sport to follow. The politics sucks, but that goes for most sports.

Classic England defeat

What a disasterous end of the season for Gerrard. Always making these huge errors in the big games

Costa Rica should beat Italy, so we don't have another 5 days of how it's "still mathematically possible for England to qualify."

I know it's par for the course here, but it irks me how the media spout so much "patriotic" bullshit before every WC and then demand the heads of the squad on platters when the inevitable loss comes.

When was the last time when England had good result in big event? It seems England is like Radwanska. They can beat all wannabes like Poland or Slovakia but they have no chance against serious opponents.

Gilles Simon, Nicolas Almagro, Tommy Haas, Jack Sock

Lol, yes. But it will never change. England actually played worse football in '06 & '10 & still qualified. That's life.

Huge hug for Cilla and my boyfriend, who is a huge England team fan. He was devastated.
