The Eurovision Thread!!! Kitsch-Ahoy!

And so it starts!!!

I could never find the GM/Non-Tennis thread for this...

Even Sonj has managed to check out all the songs before me...

Some VERY bizarre music to start - like a marching band rendition of past winners!!!

JM: [pause, followed by a guilty look] Ah yeah. That's possible.

Re: The Eurovision Thread!!! Kitch-Ahoy!

OK - quick round up so far...
Rock Ballad from some chunky looking 6th form dude from Montenegro - ok but nothing to write home about
High pitched warble from the Israelian Pop Idol (song written by Dana International - remember her!!!)... ok - better than most they've entered

Estonia... Ummmmmmmm
Think I've gonna nip back to my carbonara

Ros
It's not bizarre , it's Serbian traditional music! Well more Gipsy Orchestra but traditional nonetheless.

Ana should have a video message and Nole should be there to start the voting.

Did Estonia get booed?
I kinda like Israeli song. I know, I should feel ashamed (), but I like traditional sounds.

Re: The Eurovision Thread!!! Kitch-Ahoy!

Actually... yeah - I thought I hear boos as well before they started and apologies Alex for insulting the Serbian Traditional music

OK - so Moldova looked like a reject from Nancy/I'd Do Anything
San Marino.....'nother Rock Ballad - but bad... although the dude looks like he's busting to go to the toilet!... maybe the nerves eh!

Israel so far the best for me, followed by this one (San Marino)

No - Turkey has to be voted in tonight I think... that's what they were saying on BBC Breakfast!

Re: The Eurovision Thread!!! Kitch-Ahoy!

And by turkey, you mean Dustin? No turkey is in the final yet, Rich. You need to vote for your turkey to get there.

Re: The Eurovision Thread!!! Kitch-Ahoy!

Didn't Belgium do this some other year - with a madey-uppy language... but the song last time was gorgeous.
This... ummmm... no - perhaps some washing up and clearing up graprfruit juice I managed to kick all over the floor...

Edit: Unfortunately we can't vote until Thursday ... some strange bint is in the booth with Paddy O'Connell (and she's bloody irritating... a wanna-be Fearne Cotton, but I don't think it's her...)

Oh please, give this one a cow to milk!
Belgium, that is. Catchy tune, though.

It's Paddy and some irritating bird ...

OH FUCK ME! They showed Andy Abrahams doing a dress rehearsal - I think he borrowed a uniform from Scooch....
