Domi is ready for the American tournaments
The tennis season is not going to stop so Domi is eager to play other tournaments in America. The 2013 Bank of the West Classic in Stanford is the first of them. Domi had told us more about her recent trainings before she left Slovakia.
Domi was resting a couple of days after the Wimbledon. „I was at home and then I spent four days near the sea in Portoroz, Slovenia. My preparation for the American tournaments begun last Monday so it´s eleven days of training. I have played tennis twice a day and I have worked with my fitness trainer once a day. Or I have had one longer tennis training session and one fitness training session per day,“ said Domi to domicibulkova.com.
„We have worked on my serve a lot. We had to change some things, because I had problems with my achilles tendon before and I had not been training my serve for a period of time because of that. The tendon is OK for now,“ continued Domi. She is going to the USA today with her well-known team - coach Matej Liptak, physiotherapist Stefano de Pirro, boyfriend Michal Navara a her father Milan Cibulka. „My team is big and their support is also massive,“ smiled Domi.
Domi will spend two months in the USA. „After Stanford and Carlsbad I am going to play in Toronto, Cincinnati, New Haven and New York (US Open). I am looking forward to that.“ Cibulkova will try to defend 2012 title in Carlsbad, her number two title on the WTA Tour. „Once you won this kind of tournament, you want do defend the title. I want to play a lot of matches, I want to feel and follow the rhythm of the game, but I will not be stressed out because of that.“
