Her priorities are different than yours then. She's still very young and she can start her real career a few months later(there are some weak WTA clay tournaments in Europe after Wimbledon too).

P.S. She most probably wouldn't be seeded in Bogota qualies anyway.

Re: Magda Linette

Yeah, anyway so far she has never travelled outside Europe for tennis (except for Grand Slam junior tournaments), or almost never. If she wants to focus on her studies, I think it's better for her to stay in Europe for now. She's only 19, and already very promising...

Re: Magda Linette

Apparently the courts in Eilat are very slow which should suit to Magda.

Magda was up 3-1 in the third set, but finally lost it 6-7.

Re: Magda Linette

Great victory for Magda today! She defeated Anne Kremer quickly, 6-1 6-1.

Congratulations

But nice loss actually 6-7(3) 6-7(0), it's a very good score against a player like Govortsova.

Re: Magda Linette

In general positive impressions from Magda. Good like in Cala Millor 25k on clay.
And then... who knows.

Re: Magda Linette

Next tournament after one week of break: Mallorca 25k$(clay). I guess she'll have a long break after that as there are no ITF tournaments in Europe until 25k$ in Bath at the end of March. Unless she will play somewhere away from Europe.

Re: Magda Linette

The only place I can see she goes outside is Florida where she used to go as a junior player to Orange Bowl and Eddie Herr.
There are two 25k tournaments in Hammond and Clearwater, afterwards there's 100k+H in Nassau (Bahama Islands) and WTA Miami (maybe she could sneak into the quallies).

But realistically I don't think she'll go there.

Re: Magda Linette

The Miami cutoff was about 140-150 last year so I guess she won't make it :s

Re: Magda Linette

She can still win 25k in Mallorca and then she'll be close to top150.
