Re: Polish tournaments (national and international) thread

This is not good scheduling for Sobota. Our ambitious girls already prepare to hardcourt season and not whoring claycourts.

Re: Polish tournaments (national and international) thread

ITF Zawada players' list is out. There's no top Poles. I think Kasia Piter should start here. Top polish girl is Sandra Zaniewska...

Re: Polish tournaments (national and international) thread

^^ TOP Polish girl is Jegiołka. We'll see how about WCs.. maybe some Poles will decide to start in the last moment to improve their rankings (talkin about our top200 girls). Highlights from Entry lists are the girls on their top form: Smitkova, Witthoeft, Dodin and Brianti (however I doubt the first one will play actually). Also Kostova, Pfizenmaier are worth mentioning.

Re: Polish tournaments (national and international) thread

Magda Frech could get one of the WC's, she's currently on the Q list. Maybe Ania Korzeniak also. I have no hope for Domachowska, but that would be a good idea for her (or not, surely playing qualies would be better for her now but she didn't enter anyway).

Actually not so many Poles have entered this year... Zaniewska, Kawa, Siedliska (no surprise here ), Lewandowska have all withdrawn. Only some young players remaining, such as Kowalska and Czarnik.

I guess there's something between tournament organizers and Polish players that they don't enter. Wondering what is that. (ofc lack of Polish MDWC each year). I bet Fręch won't get any just some $$ WCs).

Usually 1 of the 4 WCs goes to a Pole. Then indeed, the 3 others are given to completely unknown but loaded players...

Any news about Sobota ITF tournament? Didn't they want to make it bigger?
