Paula won a good match against Korzeniak in Gliwice 10k final. 7:6(2) 3:6 7:5. It was so long as Ania doesn't make as many stupid errors as other ITF players do. If Paula was more concentrated, abused a racket less - it could be 6:3 6:3. Paula showed some good skills like strong forehand, brilliant dropshots, good attacks, volleys and drive volleys. Paula was the attacking side, she's very energetic, dynamic, aggresive but also very nervous. She abused her racket every each UE which means she's very very ambitious one. After she squandered two SP in the first set leading *6:5 with the break, she hit the racket straight next to the line judge. When she minimally missed her first serve, which could be an ace, she tried to hit a linesman with a second serve.
Also when she was in her nervous mode, she commited some footfaults which were called by baseline judges. After like five ones she shouted to the linesman - "Jak jeszcze coś powiesz, to coś ci zrobię" (if you say something once again, I'll do something with you)
Line umpire called a foot fault once again and then gestured to her coach and boyfriend Błażej Koniusz who calmed her down. She was losing 3:5* in the final set but she calmed down, changed her tactics, became even more agressive and won 7:5. She should have played like this earlier but those nerves, totally unnecessary, especially after she won first set she should have been more calm but she started her self-destruction
She was even down 1:4* with a double break, then she concentrated herself, broke back to 3:4* and then the rain came... Afterwards indoors she had two break points to break back to 4:4 but again couldn't use them, again got angry and lost 3:6. But she won happily and deservedly.
Not only Błażej but allso whole her family supported her there. There was her mother Zdzisława, a tall brunette who is a volleyball coach, also her father Paweł who isn't the tallest one.
Her little sister Zuzanna was also there, she came on the court with Paula just before the match and just after the win she run to the court and hugged Paula. How sweet.
Paula seems to be a nice, concrete and sociable girl, totally different outside a court. She was very happy as it was her first ITF singles title. She thanked to her family, coach and also umpires for a high quality judging.
