Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread - Volume 2

I hate to sound repetitive or pessimistic about her chances, but I think now would be a good time for her to play in some of the smaller level events preferably on clay where she's at her best. But then again she's been losing to almost anyone. :/

LUCIE SAFAROVA!!

Madison Brengle!!
Tsvetana Pironkova, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Lauren Davis, Petra Kvitova, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Timea Bacsinszky, Madison Keys, Kaia Kanepi, Klara Zakopalova, Agnieszka Radwanska

I was even debating myself lately whether I should drive to Charleston for the championship weekend there cuz I love that city so so much and Lucie was in the final last year.

But man, how on earth will there be another final for her considering her recent form

She loves Rogers Cup though. A SF, and 2 QFs Thats probably her overall best tournament, besting out Madrid. Her form has ben bad. I wonder if maybe things are not working out well with her coach? She should get the Fed Cup captain to coach her and a sports psychologist to match :P.

By the way, anyone know her schedule for the next couple of months? Her website hasn't been updated since the Fed Cup win. :O

Lost 4-6 4-6 Mirza/BMS are the biggest fluke team on tour, they just 100% ballbash and it either works or it doesnt and today it worked. They just blast the shit out of the ball and they went in Lucie and Pavs played ok...Lucie was pretty much the same the whole way, Pavs was very up and down...she had trouble putting volleys away, but sometimes hit enormous winners.

They lead 3-1 in the 2nd set and 40-15 at 3-2...but couldnt go on with it.

Where? I'm sure it is still bothering her since it's still covered in kinesiotape...I think the 2 week break to Indian Wells now will be good for her

i need to use google translate to locate them Li Na has been using tape in the knee for several years, so as long as Lucie does not admit such injury like after Paris, i think she's fine

too bad no Kinesio available for her brain so far

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread - Volume 2

2-6 2-6 loss to Wozniacki

Completely brainless performance. Very weak footwork/movement

Totally out of form. 9 Winners, 45 UEs = - 36

Serena: "We have great personalities like Jelena (Jankovic) on the tour."
Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Good Luck
Serena Williams Maria Sharapova Jelena Jankovic
A. Radwanska V. Zvonareva C. Wozniacki N. Petrova M. Hingis
T. Paszek A. Chakvetadze K. Sprem J. Dokic I. Tulyaganova A. Myskina

Ben Rothenberg ‏@BenRothenberg

Safarova gets put as Kerber's fourth round foe--that whole quarter looks pretty open. #BNPPO13
