Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Diyas is hopeless against lefties... same thing happened when she played Benesova in Prague 2 years back. Anyone has this match recorded? Thanks.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Lucie and Jarka lost 6-2 6-3 Lucie plays good doubles at slams, but she seems to not care outside of slams

Anyway, Dinara won 6-2 6-0 so it's Lucie vs Dinara now interested to see how this goes.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Amazing stats on serve again Lucie! I'm impressed with how much better she seems to be utilising the 2nd serve which was a massive weakness at the end of last year.

As for the Safina match, you never know but I'd be genuinely shocked if she lost. If she serves like she has done even her poor return game should be enough. Safina has had extremeley harsh draws but the win over Han isn't much of an indication to her game as by most accounts Han was dire.

I wish she wasn't in Marion's section of the draw though, she could've made the final.

Now I've finally found,

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Lucie hit some great shots there to win that match. Dina wasn't bad really, Lucie just outplayed her on the big points.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

6-3 4-6 6-3...disappointing 2nd set but the 2 sets she won she was never broken so that was positive. It was a hard fought match, she should be happy she won it.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Tough win. I guess her thigh is fine though if she can tough out a three set match like that.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

But she has strapping on her knees, well under the kneecap, which is a little worrying. It doesn't seem to be hurting her though, she was moving quite well.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Lucie Played so well despite the mini choke at 6-1 5-1..but 6-1 6-4 against Bartoli is fantastic. Especially since she has never beaten her before this. And her shots were so good, barely any errors and controlling the points well. The three games she lost in a row in the second were pure choke but she got herself together.
