Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Lucie drew Petkovic in round 1, then probably Zvonareva in round 2. So..again no chance of making round 3 But Petkovic is in good form, she's been having good results and I don't know if Lucie will be able to beat her in her bad form state. Of course, Petkovic is also able to make horrid errors and choke, hopefully Lucie plays well

Lucie plays tomorrow, and she seems to be on Centre Court, 3rd match after 12:30 local time.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Lucie is not in Linz entry list. So, just one tournament left?

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Hmm odd, I swear I saw that she was on the preliminary entry list, dunno why she wouldn't play there when she made QF last year..but I don't care either, considering her form. Although I'd rather she played there than Moscow.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Maybe there are some mistakes on the official website. I hope she will finally play there, she can do much more better on indoor count.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Damn. She's just never, ever going to be consistent I think. That's not Lucie. What I do hope for realistically is that she has more tournaments (and hopefully big ones) where she can peak at. Like how she does at that Paris Indoors tournament.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

She is consistent now, consistenly bad...She played so great in 2007, but after that she just reached 3 round in Grand Slam one time. She seems to have no improvement over 3 years, just feel disappointed to her.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

We can't forget that this year she made the Paris final, then Stuttgart QF, Rome QF and Madrid SF beating a lot of good players..her first half of the year was very good. Her 2nd half of the year got halted by injury and she has always been a little slow recovering her confidence after injury. The main problem is her poor performance in the slams...hopefully that picks up next year, but since she probably will fall out of the AO seedings, who knows what draw she will get there.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Lucie can already only be ranked 32 at the end of this week, at best. So that's disappointing, I wanted her to be seeded at AO so I would be able to see at least one of her matches on an outside court..but being unseeded she could go anywhere

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

maybe she should take 2-3 months off, clear her head, figure out what's wrong, and then hopefully get back to her best!
