I withdraw from all PAW duties until further notice.

After serious deliberation for weeks, I reached the conclusion this would be the best for me.

My results are way too far from living up the expectation I created on myself and others on my debut month. I've been trying to find possible explanations for this happening.

- The fact that I can only come in early afternoons during the week doesn't help, because later I find out there are matches I'd paw for sure if I knew they happened. Happens more often on Q placement, like Bartoli vs Dulko and Zheng vs Sugiyama.
- Private life. Yes.
- The expectations were too high, and not seeing myself fulfilling them brought my confidence down.
- The only time I was having a decent result this year was at PanPacific. I led Handicapper's predictions after one day, and I'd finish either 5th or 6th had Davenport won the final. But Sharapova won so the barrage of people who went for her overtook me, bringing me down to 20th.
- And other thing, you all must know the weird feeling of the confusion stroke in mind because you prefer one player but you pawed the other so it gets really hard on the cheering side and it's really hard for your mind.. well, you know.

So, one of the thing that pushes me to this decision is the fact that I miss being able to cheer for my favorite players not having to go for the one I pawed. Like freedom.

And also, PAW was a huge occupancy of my times. Yes, because even when I wasn't pawing, there was a big chance I was thinking about it. And if there's anything I need, that's time. I hate the fact that I have to cut on my favorite activity, but I need to do it.

It's Indian Wells first day, but I can already feel the hole that this has caused me. Once I can arrange things I'll get back again, with renewed confidence.

My last words go to the other players, specially the admins: Thanks for all what you've been doing, it's amazingly great. I'm sorry to leave this way, but I hope you understand it's the best for me.

I really appreciate the cheering, man... But I don't think it's such a big loss. Everyone knows who Ranadalara is, so you're important for the game, but as for me, few people actually know. And really, I need to empty my head.

This won't be a definite departure - I won't be able to live without the game for long!

You don't know me. If I enter any contest, whatever the hell it is, the target is the victory.

I respect your decision, I'm kinda of like u. Once in a while, I'll take a PAW Vacation to re-charge. It's pretty intense.

So take a paw vacation and come back firing on all cylinders, chin up!

I think you'll find a lot more people know you than you might think
I suggest you just take a break until you feel confident again, and come back and you never know!

i entered the thread because i know you. and i'm kinda new.

i think the re-charging idea is good, rest a bit and come back strong.
if there is a lesson to be learned here, you need breaks from evrything, sometimes.
studies, activities, hobbies, jobs. EVEN TENNIS!
but as long as you take them little breaks, you should be fine, the problem starts when people don't listen to themselves, and they collapse and quit things.
i volounteer alot in a youth organization for teenagers in need and distress, and i NEED my mini-breaks often.
in the meanwhile, cheer up and live some

if you have nothing important to say, please do so in non-tennis forum. if you have something you think is important, but is actually rubbish regarding anything other than tennis - please do so in the non-tennis forum. if you have something tennis related to say, but it's actually "OMG, X player is so h0t!1" or "who has the biggest boobs on the wtatour" please do so in menstennisforum, under "wta forum". if you have something important, tennis-related and interesting to say please do so. No one in the world can understand how much tennis means to someone, except another fan.

You can only achieve victory by trying - I took 1 year to win my 1st title.

You will achieve nothing by not participating - so for God sake start pawing NOW

Yes but with my current condition the best I can hope is a top 50. And I don't want to sound arrogant, but I'm better than that.

IMO, the important thing is not win or lose, but having fun...
allthough there were cases of people winning tourneys in their 1st month, even the first tourney, that's not a reasonable expectation...

PAW Record
Career high ranking: 6 (16/10/2005)
Current Ranking: 40, 789 pts, 35 tournaments
2007 race to the championship: 26, 293 pts, 8 tournaments
Year-end Ranking: 2006 - 46, 2005 - 8, 2004 - 63, 2003 - 146

Career Highlights:
Winner: 2006 - Beijing, 2005 - Sydney, Budapest, Hasselt
Runner-up: 2006 - Prague, 2005 - Hyderabad, Forest Hills, Los Angeles YEC
Semifinal: 2006 - Paris, Bogota, 2004 - Sopot
Quarterfinal: 2005 - Prague, Modena, 2004 - Indian Wells, Stockholm, Seoul, Filderstadt
