Number of international title wins
#1 / 7 - Cswab22 (Auckland, Bogotą, Memphis, Bastad, Baku, Quebec, Tashkent)
#2 / 6 - The Crow (Monterrey, Kuala Lumpur, Copenhagen, Strasbourg, 's-Hertogenbosch, Washington)
#3 / 4 - Kuilli (Pattaya City, Acapulco, Barcelona, Bad Gastein)
#4 / 3 – SamR03A (Budapest, Birmingham, Dallas)
#4 / 3 - Imperfect Angel (Hobart, Guangzhou, Linz)
#6 / 2 - Beesley (Estoril, Seoul)
#6 / 2 - Zamboni (Palermo, Osaka)
#8 / 1 – Postalblowfish (Fes)
Updated after Osaka & Linz (28/29 International events played).
There are 4 possible winners left in Luxembourg.
Imperfect Angel will qualify if it's Cswab22, Kuilli or Moodin0931 to win. In that case, with 50 points over Beesley, Zamboni would get the wild card.
If SamR03A wins, the cut is up to 4 titles and Imperfect Angel would not qualify directly. In that case, it's down to the ranking for the wild card between Imperfect Angel and Zamboni.
Zamboni is dropping 27 from last year and can recover 18 in her best 16, starting with 567 -27 +18 = 558. Any point over 18 in Moscow is gained.
Imperfect Angel has nothing to defend and starts with 563. 16th result is 18 as well, better than Luxembourg for sure, but a possible 19 in Moscow (Stosur beats Arvidsson in the final).
In other words: with this scenario, Zamboni needs at least 24 in Moscow to have a chance, and 25 to be sure to be ahead. The situation didn't change after the quarterfinals, but Linda now knows she needs Ivanovic to beat Stosur in the semis, because otherwise she wouldn't go beyond 23 with a 4th place. On the other hand, with Ivanovic in the final and the Moscow win, she would be ahead of Imperfect Angel for sure.
Good luck everyone!
