It's possible Meilen is going to europe for other reasons (doesn't she work for Lagardere still?). I guess we'll see in a day or so.

It does seem like Vika is moving out of a rehab phase into full training. Here she says she just started training again:

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 5.

I think she might try Wimbledon, since it´s kind of symbolic for a new beginning, when this whole mess started there last year. But I think the US Open hardcourt series is a more realistic entry point.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

Sorry I phrased that badly. Vika is on a flight to Europe with her team is what I meant. Meilen posted she's on it. I assume Sam is also on it.

Hi there. I have always liked and supported Vika but this is the first time I've been here. As a Maria fan, I know how it feels to see your fav constantly withdrawing from tournaments to tournaments. So I hope Vika heals her foot injury fully and as soon as possible because the tour needs her so bad, and I'm starting to miss her too

Please tennis god let Vika heal fast and be able to come back at Wimbledon because I will go to Wimbledon this year

Oh right, I missed that Vika was on the flight, I only saw Meilen's post.

It sucks but I guess it's a wise decision. This injury is very unsettling.

Not seeing her name in the RG draw will feel weird. Despite all her injuries over the years, she's never had to skip a slam before.

Confusion will be my epitaph

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 5.

pain free. that's the most important.

i'd be more surprised if she DID play roland garros.

i think it's for the best.

i'm not sure grass season is the best moment to come back from injury. that surface is very hard on the joints.

i'd like her to come back at stanford or san diego. hardcourt is her natural habitat and that would allow her to get confident in hr tennis again.

I agree. If she starts practice now, that's around 5 weeks before Wimbledon and that's substantial so it may be okay for her to play in Wimbly.
Of course, this is assuming she starts now and, from the looks of it, she is!

I'm going to take it as a victory that it only took 7 pages before the idiotic trolls who don't pay attention to this sport or its players to attack Vika.

God, I hope she comes back healthy and ready to snatch the weaves off all their favorites. Reign of Terror Redux.

I find it almost funny that some mr anybody tries to belittle sport stars that are some of the most successfull sports women on the planet (at least in earnings). Regardless if it is Vika or some other top player.
