Sorry might have been from last year. Should have known better than to trust a link that dumb troll Saraya posted. My bad. Having a bad day.
That poster annoys the crap out of me. I was so tempted to make a thread during Serena's first match where the Tennis Channel zoomed in on Patrick titled something along the lines of "OMFG Patrick is with Serena!!!!!111"
At least she's getting treatment. I've never heard of this before, but it seems to be a popular therapy in Europe.
Hopefully, it allows her to get back to playing and fit again. Indian Wells and Miami being a mess just makes me cringe at how a 90% in form Vika who's healthy would just dominate this crap.
I think it works by speeding up the natural process. Eg. Vika's injury is the sort of thing that naturally heals if you rest for weeks on end, but that's not very desirable for a professional athlete. The extreme cold speeds up the process by tricking the body to thinking you are in an extreme situation having to deal with such extreme temperatures, thus the body's immune system responds.
There are obvious other benefits to this outside healing injuries. I've heard people claim these chambers allow you to train at a level you normally wouldn't be able to, the benefit can allegedly last for a few weeks, because it accelerates normal body processes.
Yikes. To heal an injury I can understand but training like that seems like a way to break your body down sooner or later. The lengths that athletes go to really is incredible.
Just so you know: I'm better than you because my fave is better than your fave. Your fave is a bitch and a shrieking BBB. Or was it pusher? Who cares. She's a classless brat anyway. But don't you dare insult my fave, idiot.
