Yeah I think the issue is they know she's fucked up at least two chances but they can't admit that to themselves and they still tell themselves she can beat the best players without having chances like the ones she's wasted, pretty much solely on the basis of her fluke win over Vika. The Ma$ha ones for example know she's not the best and her time is getting limited, but they also know a chance like French Open 2012 can happen and even that when she's on she has the capability (like against Vika at FO '13) so they continue to hope but don't act completely delusional.

Oh thanks.

Yeah I get the feeling she's going to play her charity event even if she has to wear that boot on the court. She's clearly really excited for it. I guess that means she most likely will be back for Indian Wells, but I hope she's not rushing back too soon.

Does anyone know something about Vika's foundation, The Dreaming Heart?

What day does the draw come out for IW? I can't imagine she's going to withdraw at this point…

I just had a thought, would Vika ever play doubles again? Not saying she should become a doubles specialist, but she was quite good and if she ever hits a low spot of no motivation? Or is it a rubbish idea?

deep down in the depth, of my rebel heart

I dont think she'll play doubles anymore...may be if MaKiri comes back, she might play in the future. But her main goal is winning more GrandSlams!!

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 5.

I heavily doubt it.

The problem with playing doubles aside from the extra time on court is it means a lot of hanging around, because you will be playing at lot of undesirable times. They will put your singles on early, and then your doubles might not be until the early evening which means hanging about on site all day which can become draining.

Yeah I think the main draw is Monday actually because play starts Wednesday.

I think playing doubles at a few tournaments a year (maybe non-majors) could be smart just to work on those skills and she was very good when she played. Her net play has been very good though lately so I guess she works on it in practice. I still find it a bit bizarre how little she plays compared to most players these days, so i expect she could handle the extra play, but I doubt we'll see it any time soon. It would be really cool if she played with Reehanna, even once, but that won't happen.

After that terrible loss, i had to take a pause from tennis as long as Vika herself. I enjoyed the Olympics a lot.

Lets get some good results going now.
