Newbie. Pushing doesnīt work against Vika. Speaking of which....

Itīs been a rough weekend for Aga. First Errani tweeted herself to the top of Vikaīs (s)hitlist. Then Vika snatched Agaīs Australian Open title, the one Aga felt entitled to because she won Auckland and Sydney. How cute. Finally Marta took her Playboy pictorial.

Well Iīd call Kvitova Gajdosova 2.0, but then Gajdosova has won a Slam in the last 18 months.

True, why not? She has a good chance to win the USO one day. Wimbledon is going to be difficult but if she somehow avoids Serena she's about as good as anyone left in the draw (unless Kvitova finds her A game again). RG, well, everybody can win it these days it seems. Vika is far from a bad clay courter so if she can improve her clay game further she might have a chance in the future.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

I really think the French will be the hardest for her to win. Wimbledon, she is probably #3 these days behind Serena and Kvitova. Considering how average Kvitova has been in the last 12 months, she might not be a concern this year. So she could potentially win if she/someone else upsets Serena or if Serena is absent.

I would be willing to put money on the fact that she will win the USO before she retires. She is too good on hard not to win it.

The French will be the toughest for her to win, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Also, Vika's hard court record since the beginning of 2012 is 56-7. Those 7 losses include 2 W/O's and 1 retirement at 3-3 in the first set. The 4 actual losses include 2 to Serena (USO final and YEC RR), 1 to Maria (YEC SF), and 1 to Marion (Miami QF).

What an incredible run she has had. Yet, very few people in GM respect her and say she's lucky.

Which is the obvious and smart choice (though what are those new bs rules about olympics eligibility).

Here's an explanation:

Quote:
The ITF has decided to change its qualification rules for the 2016 Olympics. After the 2012 Games, a player must make himself or herself available to play Davis Cup or Fed Cup four times in an Olympic cycle. Currently, players only have to make themselves available for two ties in the two prior years to the Olympics.

Yet the French Open is the most interesting case in terms of the development of her all-around game, cause to win Roland Garros she would have to develop a better transition game and make more use of dropshots and slices. Basically approach it like a Peak Schiavone, cause she cannot overpower players from the baseline like a Na Li or Sharapova. I agree she can win all the other three Slams as it is, although a better serve would make things so much easier. I donīt even want to know, what happens, if Na Li holds at 3-5 in the third like Serena did at the US Open.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

IKR I was begging her to break there because another choke would have been too much
