Vika's movement and ground game looked pretty good. She returned really well and served some nice serves too. Definitely more positives than negatives.

I just saw glimpses but quite happy. Wasn't expecting that at all . At first Vika looked totally blank and wasn't grunting and went down 3-1 (I think, maybe just 3-2) but it was all her after that. It didn't look like Reehanna was trying very hard, hitting a few hard serves ans shots but mostly at a relaxed pace. Vika hit lots of nice shots though and seemed pretty fit as she Ran some balls down. Obviously the real test is Brisbane, but this certainly should calm out nerves a bit after the shitshow of last fall.

Even in an exhibition, a win over Rehanna is a win over Reehanna, so congratulations are in order to Vika .

I hope this motivates her extra to repeat it on the real stage though!!

Nice, but a win is not really a win here . But good that you that saw it says she seemed fit and ready to go for the new season.

It's a win because the most important thing from this would be that she's playing with confidence and that her game is in order, which is vital to hear after the end of last season.

Good to hear all the positive comments. Sounds encouraging. Hopefully she´ll make it through Australia without showing any signs of an injury.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

Agree, I don't watch exhibitions, but good to hear she'll be entering the new season in good shape fitness wise and without much rust in her game

Some fantastic forehands indeed...and I loved some of the backhands that she hit...and the return seemed pretty good too (from what I saw, which is a little better than nothing, but still)

Very happy to read all the positives about Vika's game. Sounds like she's gotten out of that Post USO funk. I would absolutely love a Melbourne 3peat, but right now let's focus on her staying healthy and playing well. Everything else will fall into place.

On a side note, is it just me or does the off season go by faster and faster every year?

Yes it is faster every year, but time in general seems faster when you get older .

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

Just saw the 7 min video from the GM match thread. She had a slightly different serve or?

Not sure she will use it in real matches, but interesting. She also, for sure, tried harder than in other exhibitions i have seen. ( Just listen )

I've just posted it in the videos thread.

Just so you know: I'm better than you because my fave is better than your fave. Your fave is a bitch and a shrieking BBB. Or was it pusher? Who cares. She's a classless brat anyway. But don't you dare insult my fave, idiot.
