Pretty challenging draw for Vika in Tokyo. First match either Venus or Mona Barthel, then possibly Halep - SF could be Kvitova.

Potentially tricky first two matches if she's lacking rhythm. Then looks prerty easy.

I definitely think Barthel will be a lot more tricky than Venus. Venus isn't able to be consistent enough off the ground to match Vika anymore, whereas Barthel can occasionally string together good patches of play (like in Stuttgart and AO) which could be a lot more difficult if Vika is feeling sloppy.

Given the number of players missing from the draw, Vika did get one of the worst draws possible. I am confident she can win though .

Difficult draw but it only depends in vika's showing. She can run into long matches if not careful. But unless she is unfit, she should find a way

Worst draw possible?

Still it all depends on how well she's playing. Definitely needs to avoid a slow start. Good luck!

Just so you know: I'm better than you because my fave is better than your fave. Your fave is a bitch and a shrieking BBB. Or was it pusher? Who cares. She's a classless brat anyway. But don't you dare insult my fave, idiot.

Her draws are always tough, not as someone's. Hope her early preparation can help. Good luck.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

Well on the other hand it is a chance to get a win over Venus, who is the only former world #1 or Slam champion that Vika has faced and never defeated.

Mauresmo 2-0
Hingis 1-0
Stosur 8-1
Schiavone 4-1
Bartoli 9-3
Ivanovic 5-2
Jankovic 5-3
Na Li 6-4
Sharapova 7-6
Clijsters 3-4
Wozniacki 3-4
Kvitova 2-4
Safina 2-4
S. Williams 3-13
V. Williams 0-2

I am not a fan of the direction a lot of Maria threads have taken over the last 12 months.
The undertone is very disappointing, aggressive and the comments are sometimes rude to a player just trying to earn a living, playing her hardest and having a good amount of success given her god given, natural talents.
You made the list: NEW President Bouchard, Cibulkova, Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Kerber, Cornet, Watson, Broady.
Please note this is a signature about Tatjana Maria

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

Tough draw, but not sure it matters much. She had a couple of strange dips in form after her injuries, if that happens again she can lose to many players. (5-10 of them or so).

If she plays good, no player in this tournament can win over her.

I give her a fairly good chance to win the tournament. Close to 50%. Which is a really good chance when the tournament has not even started yet.
