Yeah, it's not the easiest nor the most difficult draw. Let's see how she can handle back-to-back tournaments. Good luck anyway!

Good luck Vika, she should normally win over Ivanovic, but still i feel like if Vika can win this in 2 sets, without any injury signs, i will be impressed and she more or less is back on track.

Azarenka def. Ivanovic 6-0 4-6 6-3

Oh my, that was nerve-wrecking to watch. Far from her best yet still beating a peaking Ivanovic.

Great sign that she managed to win this match mentally. Good luck in the final!

Glad she entered this event - she's a little bit rusty/lacks some match play.

Had she entered Toronto directly, think she'd have been [totally] screwed but this event is a nice warm preparation for the bigger fishes ahead of us.

Now bring #17 home it's been so long since a trophy.

I started watching at 3-2 and Ivanovic's forehands were already driving me mad.

Thought she played well in the third. Would always rather see her tested by on form opponents, ivanovic served out of her mind third set but vika still dominated the set.

I think that this is the sort of match that rusty Vika needs to get her form back. It was messy, but she's in the final and she has enough time for improvement before the USO.

All I can see from the stats is that Ana went for her shots and played riskier which sometimes reaped rewards.

It's obvious that whenever vika can charge to the net, she created better chances for herself as in 3rd set.

What a difference from last Olympic. Good test for final tmr.

Hurray , making works number 2 ranking!!!!

You were great in the GM match thread. I love how random Ana fans are claiming that Vika's grunt is distracting. What about Ana's ajde fist pump leg kick half twirl?

The Canadian draw is tricky for sure, but if she keeps her head and continues to shake off the rust there's no reason she can't make the final against LordRena.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

I liked the match (even if i said before i hoped for 2 sets). Ivanovic proved she is a fighter. Hope she continues that way.

Not the perfect match for Vika, but enjoy to see her reach a final again. It is not a given, a couple of months ago i had to watch Wozniacki vs Sharapova in Indian Wells. (Good players, i just prefer if Vika is involved).

31-3 is very impressive, and still unbeaten on hard court.

My favourite was the one who cited Vika's 'arrogance' (read self belief/confidence/assurance in her abilities) on court as something that suggested she didn't deserve to win. Ajde could do with having such an attitude.
