At the very least, if there's a silver lining, it will be that she'll come back with unbeatable hunger for the US Open.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

Sam just said on ESPN that Vika's worse and they missed something on the scan (sounds like she's going to get re-scanned everywhere).
He also said that it being so humid probably aided in her slipping.
Additionally, she can walk and go up and down stairs but moving side to side is impossible.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

ESPN managed to miss half of its interview with Sam.

He was just saying "we missed something." Says Vika can walk, but feels pain if she has to go up/down stairs, or move quickly.

Think happy, positive thoughts:

F*** that clown, probably couldn´t wait to post that.

What a shit year it has been since Doha.

I am not a fan of the direction a lot of Maria threads have taken over the last 12 months.
The undertone is very disappointing, aggressive and the comments are sometimes rude to a player just trying to earn a living, playing her hardest and having a good amount of success given her god given, natural talents.
You made the list: NEW President Bouchard, Cibulkova, Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Kerber, Cornet, Watson, Broady.
Please note this is a signature about Tatjana Maria

This year would have been completely worthless if it weren't for the AO and Doha. Thank god she's got a slam in probably her most troublesome year injury wise.

So unfortunate this year. Pray for a good result of the further scanning.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

Not much positive to say about this. Hopefully we see interviews where she tries to look ahead with a positive attitude. Interest for this tournament for me is somewhat over. (Hoping for upsets in general now).

This looked like an accident that could have happened to anyone, just think she gets too many injuries over all compared to others. Also upsetting as i dont see any other obstacle for her success. (Yes she can lose to other players, but she always plays at high level when healthy overall).

For those of you that have other favorite players still in the draw, good luck. My interest might not be back until hard courts.

Vika must be so sad right now.

If Murray doesn't reach the final and we'll have yet another Serena vs Maria snoozefest I will officially declare this the worst Wimbledon major ever

Just so you know: I'm better than you because my fave is better than your fave. Your fave is a bitch and a shrieking BBB. Or was it pusher? Who cares. She's a classless brat anyway. But don't you dare insult my fave, idiot.

Impossible to know what's really happening until there is an official release about the extent of her injury, but for me this Wimbledon was already over for her, that fall was simply awful. I only hope that she can be ready to play this HC season. After the turn for the worse that things are taking again I would be more than happy with this alone.

Get better soon Vika. I hope to god she doesn't need surgery on her knee. This is just a shitty day overall. Players are really getting injured.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

to be fair, the knee will have inflammation and pain after the fall even if the injury is minor like over stretching it.

i hope they don't find anything in the re-scanning. then just let it heal. otherwise .... i don't want her to go through surgery.

getting back to US open is still a question mark now. only 2 months. last time her ankle rested for 2 months. knee... may need longer time....

sigh... not meant to be this year. this is truly sad.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

This is so deceiving... I'm thoroughly disgusted... so much bad luck, really, but I hope Victoria will recuperate well and will be 100% for the hard-courts. She can really finish the season very strong considering she's played by bits; IDK.

As for Wimbledon, well it's over for me as far as the women are concerned. Unless, only if Eugénie stays a little bit longer somehow... anyways, take care Victoria.
