From Vika's trainer: No structural damage to knee. Will not be 100% tomorrow but they will try to get her to 70 or 80. #Vika #wimbledon2013

Steve Tignor ‏@SteveTignor 1m
RT @ByJoeFleming Azarenka: Hit lightly this morning. Intention to play tomorrow. No structural damage on knee according to MRI

Wow, it's great to read such good news.

Just so you know: I'm better than you because my fave is better than your fave. Your fave is a bitch and a shrieking BBB. Or was it pusher? Who cares. She's a classless brat anyway. But don't you dare insult my fave, idiot.

Important thing is that it looks like no long-term damage. Anything from this tournament is a bonus now.

Randy Walker ‏@TennisPublisher 51m
ESPN reports Vika Azarenka had an MRI on her right knee that reveals "no structural damage." She practiced today indoors, away from cameras

Bolded the interesting part.

That's to stop anyone from the Pennetta camp or any other camp going to watch and picking anything up.

Yes, that's the most important thing by far. Things have taken such a turn for the better. This could have been a massive blow to Vika's career, it looked that serious. After what's happened whatever she does now in this Wimbledon is really that, a bonus.

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 4.

So, if everything goes well, Vika will play tomorrow. She might play with some strapping around her leg like Maria Kirilenko had in her match against Laura Robson today. Na Li seems to wear a certain black strapping every time she plays.

As we know Vika's opponent on Wednesday is Flavia Pennetta, the first Italian WTA top 10 player in August 2009, but her current ranking is only #166. http://www.wtatennis.com/head2head/p.../player2/11289
Their head-to-head matches are 1-1, Vika won in Stuttgart 2010 (6-1 6-4) and Flavia was better in Dubai 2011 (6-3 6-7 6-4).

In this year's Eastbourne tournament Marion Bartoli beat Flavia Pennetta on the first round 6-3 6-2. http://www.matchstat.com/Player/Flavia%20Pennetta

Hopefully Vika will be fine tomorrow......

Thank god the knee is okay in terms of its anatomy!
Hopefully her indoor practice went well and she'll rest it up tonight and be ready to go tomorrow.

I hate how fickle the media is with her because she's not a robot. They damn her when she retires from matches because she's "not that hurt" and they damn her if she gets hurt and gets back out there and tries.

This news is very relieving. Agree with everyone else that what's to come is only a bonus. First on Centre is kinda surprising, would've thought they would give her as much rest as possible.

I'm also happy that they've scheduled smartly for the upcoming HC season (this is confirmed right?): San Diego, Cincinnati, US Open is a really good schedule with plenty of match play and rest if it all goes according to plan.
