Footwork as abysmal as 2014 QF vs Agatha, as mentally complacent as 2015 R4 vs Cibulkova all wrapped up into one tidy match where her serve was an even bigger puffball than Kerber's 2nd serve and her BH leaked about 500 errors to lose the last 5 games in a row.

Rats. My tactic of lying low didn't work.

Oh well. Still a good run.

So disappointed. And a massive reality check. Hard to pin down exactly went wrong, but she didn't really excel at anything. Coming out playing crap didn't exactly help, gifting Kerber a 4-0 lead which proved too much to overcome set the tone.

Yeah it is a good run actually, and I think 99% of us would have taken this start to the season considering how the the last season ended. But its hard because she could have easily made the final

Re: *Vika Azarenka Cheering Thread* - Vikalume 6.

You know I always make fun of Vika having a serve as bad as Errani or Kerber. Then I thought about the height component:

Venus Serve
Sharapova Serve
Muguruza Serve
Pliskovas Serve
Ivanovic Serve
Keys Serve
Mladenovic Serve
Garcia Serve
Barthel Serve
Görges Serve
Vika Errani

There is not a single player 5´11 or taller that would not consider their serve a weapon. Not actually average, let alone shit. That´s before we even get to shorter players like Serena, Lisicki or Stosur.

Vika was clueless out there. Couldn´t play her usual patterns, cause Kerber is a leftie. Still has no bh dtl. ROS as shit as the last two years.

It was lame all-around. Could see it coming. She played worse each round.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 25 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten three top 5 players en route to her 25 titles (#4 Radwanska, #4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

This update was brought to you by Kiki Maladenovic.

I don't really think it's a good run. Overall the Australian swing was promising, but I wouldn't describe the Australian Open as a good run. She made the quarters the last 2 grand slams before, and didn't really face anyone of note before the QF's here, and then lost to someone she was 6-0 H2H against. Hard to put that down as a good run.

Playing these seems even more questionable now, where a title isn't a concern anymore and Doha is lining up to be a pretty weak Premier 5. Feels like you leave a lot of potential points out there, and a good chance of winning a big tournament for not a lot, and also makes Indian Wells and Miami much tougher. I feel like she's got to win Acapulco and Monterrey just to make anything out of these tournaments.

She should probably skip Monterrey unless Acapulco is a disaster. But apparently it's to avoid flying back to Canada for the Fed Cup and then to the Middle East then back to Indian Wells. Seems a bit strange since players are used to traveling and I'm sure she goes business class but it is what it is . I'd like to see her get Belarus to the World Group.

My number one: Victoria Azarenka

ATP: Novak Djoković

Crazy Frenchies! Gilles Simon Alizé Cornet

She is not at a bad level

Kerber played more aggressive than Vila taking every chance while Vika waited too long to strike

What I found disturbing is her mental side, not very calm out there, she was caught off guard and never was comfortable. If she plays Serena she would have been patient but was agitated cos it's from Kerber.

Also in last USO she wasn't even in a good form but she would play her heart out to every point but not this time. I actually don't think she put in as much effort here. She was too shock and too upset that she didn't play her best tennis. She lost because she didn't give it all.

You didn't play your best if you didn't grasp every chance. She wasn't outplayed, she beat herself
