Ok, so Evialina (born Nov 10, 2004) from Minsk has been in Aliona's shadow in terms of achievements so far but this week, out of the 3 Belarusian girls (Aliona, her & Ilaryia Grudino) that made the trip to the USA for the U12 Orange Bowl, she's the only one still alive as she qualified today for the QFs there and she's on 8-win winning streak so far this week: she beat Emma Tews 1 & 1 in Q1, Isabella Rojas Rigoris 3 & 2 in Q2, double-bagelled Didi Bredberg Canizares in Q3, and beat Ava Grnja 0 & 1 in Q4 to make the MD, where she double-bagelled Stanislava Saveleva in R1, beat Elisabeth Jones 2 & 4 in R2, Solana Sierra (who beat Glushkova in straights in R2, who herself had upset top seed K; Dimitrova in straights in R1) 4 & 1 in R3, and Danielle Tuhten (who thrashed 9th seed Drobtova in R3) 2-6 6-2 7-5 in R4 :rocker2:  :worship:

Big challenge in QF, as she'll face 8th seed Tatiana Muzykantskaya, who reached the SFs at U12 Eddie Herr 2 weeks ago, in QF... :bounce: Davayyy Evialinka, keep going! :armed: :cheer:

Evialina has won 1 title in singles this year: G12 Trofeo Citta Di Trieste where she had to go through qualies and beat Virginia Ferrara 4 & 3 in the final. :yeah: This was her first and only singles final to date at international level, her second best performance was a SF appearance at U12 Playas de Santa Rosa (she lost 2 & 4 to Johanna Bernhold in SF, who then fell in straights to Aliona in the final). ;)

She played the first national year-end masters 2 weeks ago, in U12 cat. and was the runner-up: she ended first of her RR group, beat Lizaveta Smirnia in SF and fell to Aliona in the final, 2 & 1. :awww:

She also reached the final of U12 European Fed Cup as part of team BLR this summer: Belarus scored an epic win over Russia, before falling to Bulgaria in the final.

Go go go! :hearts: :cheer:

Some pics:

with her coach Valeria (who's from Minsk but is based in Milan, which explains why Evialina has played quite a few tournaments in Italy this year)

Evialina is playing Cat. 3 G14 Toyota Cup in Siauliai, Lithuania this week. She's the 8th seed there, and she beat qualifier Vera Yesenkova easily in R1 today, 1 & 3  :yeah:

Smh at she & Aliona vulturing this tournament when there are Cat. 1 tournaments in Russia this week and last week as well though...

Evialinka beat WC Emilija Tverijonaite pretty easily in R2, 3 & 2  :yeah:

Now, a nice challenge in QF as she'll take top seed Sara Suchankova (who's also 1 year 1/2 older), davayyy! :armed:

Evialinka lost 4-6 6-4 1-6 to 7th seed Tamari Gagoshidze (1 year older than her) in R1 of Minsk Cat. 2 G14 Smena Cup today

How come Ilaryia is seeded and not her? :tape:

She's playing doubles with Alionka, they're the 3rd seeds, hopefully they have another run! :armed: :cheer:

Ouch, Evka got thrashed by Erika, 3 & 0 :sobbing:

Expected a better scoreline tbh... :[ Hopefully she does better next week! :cheer:

Also, she & Aliona were the 4th seeds in dubs, but they flopped to Russian pair 2-6 6-7(3) in R1 :(

Ugh, Evialinka drew Erika Andreeva (this time seeded 6) directly in R1 this time at Cat. 2 Belkanton Cup, and she lost 2 & 3 to her :sobbing:

At least she won a couple more games this time, and avoided the visit to the bakery :awww:

In doubles, Evialinka & Hanna Serhel scored a nice upset of Russian 3rd seeds Andreeva/Kudryavtseva, 3-6 6-2 [10-7] in R1 :D :yeah:

Unfortunately though, they couldn't follow this up, just fell short against last week's Minsk Star champs Komar/E. Tikhonko in QF today, 4-6 5-7  :hug:
