Ok, so Evialina (born Nov 10, 2004) from Minsk has been in Aliona's shadow in terms of achievements so far but this week, out of the 3 Belarusian girls (Aliona, her & Ilaryia Grudino) that made the trip to the USA for the U12 Orange Bowl, she's the only one still alive as she qualified today for the QFs there and she's on 8-win winning streak so far this week: she beat Emma Tews 1 & 1 in Q1, Isabella Rojas Rigoris 3 & 2 in Q2, double-bagelled Didi Bredberg Canizares in Q3, and beat Ava Grnja 0 & 1 in Q4 to make the MD, where she double-bagelled Stanislava Saveleva in R1, beat Elisabeth Jones 2 & 4 in R2, Solana Sierra (who beat Glushkova in straights in R2, who herself had upset top seed K; Dimitrova in straights in R1) 4 & 1 in R3, and Danielle Tuhten (who thrashed 9th seed Drobtova in R3) 2-6 6-2 7-5 in R4
Big challenge in QF, as she'll face 8th seed Tatiana Muzykantskaya, who reached the SFs at U12 Eddie Herr 2 weeks ago, in QF... Davayyy Evialinka, keep going!
Evialina has won 1 title in singles this year: G12 Trofeo Citta Di Trieste where she had to go through qualies and beat Virginia Ferrara 4 & 3 in the final. :yeah: This was her first and only singles final to date at international level, her second best performance was a SF appearance at U12 Playas de Santa Rosa (she lost 2 & 4 to Johanna Bernhold in SF, who then fell in straights to Aliona in the final).
She played the first national year-end masters 2 weeks ago, in U12 cat. and was the runner-up: she ended first of her RR group, beat Lizaveta Smirnia in SF and fell to Aliona in the final, 2 & 1.
She also reached the final of U12 European Fed Cup as part of team BLR this summer: Belarus scored an epic win over Russia, before falling to Bulgaria in the final.
Go go go!
