Eva won her first singles title of the year this week at G3 Ust-Kamenogorsk in Kazakhstan (she was the top seed there, beat Anastasia Sukhotina 6-2 2-6 6-3 in the final
) and she's close to breaking into the Top 100 (she's currently at #139, her CHR is 122).
She's already 17 (born Sept 7, 1999), and I suspect she's interested in going college, but I hope she uses her last year of juniors next year to try and play the stronger tournaments and hopefully the Slams!
Also, she's from Grodno which is pretty interesting as there's barely any relevant Belarusian players who isn't from Minsk, but it looks like she's partly Moscow-based.
Apart from this week's title, she has 3 QF appearances this year: at G1 Prague in January, at G3 Almetievsk in February, at G2 Tashkent in March, and at G2 Budapest in September.
At the U18 European Championships in July, she lost 0-6 6-1 1-6 to Federica Bilardo in R1.
Last year, she won 1 title in singles as well: G5 Dynamit Cup in Lida (she beat Alexandra Chernishova 4 & 0 in the final), and she also made another final... at Ust-Kamenogorsk (lost 1 & 3 to Polina Bakhmutkina in the final) - so it must feel great to win this time
