Bali, Indonesia(AP) - Canada's Marie-Ève Larouche continued her journey in the Wismilak Junior International. In the quarterfinals, she defeated Hanne Nielsen in straight sets. Larouche needed a lot of spirit to get through the match.
''The match was very tough. She played really, really well. I played well but my serve could have been better. I think I served at least 15 doubles faults. But when you are ranked high, players wants to beat you to show the world what they can do. I had to fight a lot since she was up 4-1 in both sets'', said Larouche to one of our reporter.
In other quarterfinal action, top seed Dorissya Morkovina dominated from start to finish, defeating Kaia Jovovic 7-5, 6-1. Mirjana Huubere continued her great run here beating fourth-seeded Syria Gonzalez while Jacquelyn Whitten rallied to beat Yadira Mendivil 7-6(8), 6-1.
