Anna was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1994 and started playing tennis at the age of 5. She loved competing from an early age and played USTA from when she was 8 to the age of 13. She won the U14 Orange Bowl and her tennis career picked up from there. Now at the age of 16 she is playing in the pro's. The big leagues. She received a main draw wildcard into Miami for both singles and doubles. She picked up an upset in the first round in singles before bowing out in three during the second round. She lost in the first round in doubles. In Charleston she lost in the first round in singles and the second round in doubles. Anna played her first ITF tournament and made the semi-finals in singles. Anna was listed to play the 4th rubber in Fed Cup but at the last minute she was taken off the team. Anna qualified for Stuttgart with a three set win over Amelie Szczotka-Strozna. She then upset 7th seed Cornelia du Preez in two easy sets surprisingly. She then advanced to her first ever FWTT Premier Quarter-Finals with a great three set victory over Vittoria Perez. She also advanced in doubles surprising Nthama and Siri partnering Harper Johnson in a tough three set win. She then defeated Alina Patterson and Marta Sanchez in ITF Chisaso to reach the semi-finals which will be tomorrow. Similarly to Madrid In rome she won in three sets in the first round but failed to win her second round. For the third time in a row she had a nice victory in the first round but again was not able to prevail in her second round. Her form then took a dip as she fell in the first round of all three events she entered at the french open and then lost in straight sets on grass in Nottingham I. She recovered at Nottingham II winning two solid matches in singles to reach the semi-final and winning one long three setter in doubles with a long second set tiebreak that they won partnering Sofia Keddison to reach the semi-finals in doubles. Anna was not able to fight past Miranda Bothaska in the semi-finals in singles but Sofia and her won two more matches (both in three sets and the final had another amazing second set tiebreaker) to win the title. ITF Nottingham 2 was her first doubles title on the FWTT tour. Anna won her first singles match against Gisele at Eastbourne but then fell in the second round in a tough three set match. In doubles, Anna and Sofia won their first round match. In doubles, Anna and Sofia made a surprise run all the way to the semi-finals before bowing out. Anna qualified for Stanford but then lost in the first round. In Carlsbad, Anna played well to qualify and win the first round but then lost a tight three setter. Anna hit a rough patch for most of the summer only winning a few matches here and there until she reached the Finals of Dallas playing some excellent tennis before losing to Elise Mesane in the finals. Anna then traveled to the US Open where in the first round she took out veteran Jennifer Casanova in a third set tiebreaker. In mixed doubles Anna and Jack Sock took out the 4th seeds in the first round in two sets. In 2013, Anna struggled in the lead up events to the Australian Open.
