Q. First of all, congratulations on your match last night. You must have been on cloud nine after winning the YEC doubles title in Singapore over the weekend. This court condition is completely different and you seem to take it very well.
A. This court is five times faster than Singapore which is fantastic for everyone. It has been a really, really long season. We all just want to get it done as quickly as possible with as little thought and effort as possible. Yes, I am happy with my match last night.
Q. Your season is not quite over as you have one more week next week in Spain for Fed Cup with a possible different surface. Have you decided on the surface yet?
A. Ugh, don't get me started on this one. At least I live 45 minutes south from Malaga, so that's not too bad. It must be suck to be a Swedish, though.
Q. So, have you decided on the surface yet?
A. No. It depends on how this week goes. If I win the title, this can change everything, but I won't hold my breath.
Q. Ohh, hard court is not out of the question then. But Swedish players are the favourite on hard court. Is it because of Vanessa Callejas?
A. Partly, yes. And Miranda [Frost] and Xhaka [Ymer] know each other very well whereas Vanessa and I are not exactly good friends. This could be very risk if I nominate other surface. I really need to think through carefully.
Q. This makes sense. I wish you the best. And one more question before you go, are you playing next season? You never gave us straight answers.
A. Ha! Yeah, I will play one more season and see how this goes. Happy now?
Q. Hooray! I am happy to hear that, yes. You just can't leave the tour with a R1 at Roland Garros in your final year, don't you?
A. Oh, absolutely. I was furious about this and still am. I have not spoken to that bitch [Josephine Malone-Taylor] since then. Where is she, anyway?
Q. Good question! I am not sure either. At the bottom of an ocean, perhaps?
A. Ha! Yeah, maybe. I would send a thank you note to whoever responsible for this.
Q. Thanks again for your time. I wish you the best for this week and Fed Cup next week!
A. Gracias.
