The two Wildcards were awared to Ana Barbosa and Magdalena Kovskaya - congratulations :D
@Wojtek @braisaz

Ana has showed amazing results including reaching her first GS final at the US Open and Guanzhou, playing several semifinals and beating top players. Magdalena has improved a lot over the season, won Seoul and has been very loyal to the tour, sending in new points every week, which we want to honour as well.

It was very tough to make a choice as several players deserved to be considered for a WC.

“I so happy my friend and doubles partner Magdalena got WC for Zhuhai. She for sure earned this. Great player and person! Good luck. I think for sure Barbosa also deserved this. It be great event.

I little sad don’t to play Zhuhai but I happy to be going home. Back to Seoul. See friends, sleep, eat and watch my shows. I train hard for next year also.

It been great first season for me. I won my first titles Nanchang and so close in Hong Kong and finally Luxembourg doubles, after so many double final lost. I learned much and look forward to do more in 2018.

Thanks for everyone on Tour who do so good job of organising. It must so much work and it so fun Tour.”

VANESSA CALLEJAS READY FOR THE LAST DANCE

Vanessa Callejas,24, went to a film premiere in Zuhai just the night before the beginning of the tennis tournament.
She looked so sexy and happy.
"I love the world of cinema. Probably I have watched more than 1000 movies since I have awareness".
We asked her again about her retirement at the end of the year and we had a different answer this time.
"Im a little bit burnt out.I love tennis but sometimes you need to stop and take a break. The tour is really long and I miss my cats and family.I will take a decision soon but for sure I will never give up on my tennis dreams: Be a GS champ and reach the top 10."
Good luck Vanessa!

Q. First of all, congratulations on your match last night. You must have been on cloud nine after winning the YEC doubles title in Singapore over the weekend. This court condition is completely different and you seem to take it very well.
A. This court is five times faster than Singapore which is fantastic for everyone. It has been a really, really long season. We all just want to get it done as quickly as possible with as little thought and effort as possible. Yes, I am happy with my match last night.

Q. Your season is not quite over as you have one more week next week in Spain for Fed Cup with a possible different surface. Have you decided on the surface yet?
A. Ugh, don't get me started on this one. At least I live 45 minutes south from Malaga, so that's not too bad. It must be suck to be a Swedish, though.

Q. So, have you decided on the surface yet?
A. No. It depends on how this week goes. If I win the title, this can change everything, but I won't hold my breath.

Q. Ohh, hard court is not out of the question then. But Swedish players are the favourite on hard court. Is it because of Vanessa Callejas?
A. Partly, yes. And Miranda [Frost] and Xhaka [Ymer] know each other very well whereas Vanessa and I are not exactly good friends. This could be very risk if I nominate other surface. I really need to think through carefully.

Q. This makes sense. I wish you the best. And one more question before you go, are you playing next season? You never gave us straight answers.
A. Ha! Yeah, I will play one more season and see how this goes. Happy now?

Q. Hooray! I am happy to hear that, yes. You just can't leave the tour with a R1 at Roland Garros in your final year, don't you?
A. Oh, absolutely. I was furious about this and still am. I have not spoken to that bitch [Josephine Malone-Taylor] since then. Where is she, anyway?

Q. Good question! I am not sure either. At the bottom of an ocean, perhaps?
A. Ha! Yeah, maybe. I would send a thank you note to whoever responsible for this.

Q. Thanks again for your time. I wish you the best for this week and Fed Cup next week!
A. Gracias.
