Re: China Open, Beijing 2008

A year ago I'd have been reasonably happy with this draw. Right now the first round looks like a major hurdle.

Re: China Open, Beijing 2008

Most of her year has been a hurdle. I'm interested in seeing how she overcomes the first round mentally, since she had the Pilot Pen championship in her hands.

Anna Chavky plays against Qualifier or LL instead of Caroline, I am sure about this!!!

Re: China Open, Beijing 2008

The withdrawal of Safina means Wozniacki becomes 9th seed so Anna now plays a qualifier instead. I guess that's better.

Cool, she gets a qualifier. Let's hope she doesn't take her lightly.

Re: China Open, Beijing 2008

Anna, do something

I’d like to take Roddick’s serve, Gonzales’s forehand… As well as Federer’s backhand and mental. Then I’d be world number 1, easy! No one could beat me.

Re: China Open, Beijing 2008

Anna plays lucky loser Iveta Benesova in Round One. Benesova was 2nd seed in qualies but lost to Shvedova in the last round. Is this a good draw for Anna? I'm not sure any more.

I guess the switch-around in the draw didn't help Caro - she lost to AMG.

Re: China Open, Beijing 2008

anna has put a win on the board which was badly needed, she would realy be down if she had lost 4 straight matches in a row.

some great points but 0 confidence, domi is a winnable match next round but anna has to stay with it mentaly.
