Anna's brief grass prep schedule

So what tournament should Anna enter? Birmingham, Eastbourne or both?

Maybe she should skip it all and fully rest before Wimbledon?

Yeah, sadly no Birmingham this year. Well there's a slim chance I'll get to see her at Wimbledon.

Is this confirmed?
Thats interesting. Last year she played both warm up tournaments in England.
But this year she skips both and play in Holland instead.

Re: Anna's brief grass prep schedule

Yup.. I just checked online this morning, and wondering about the same thing! Anna's gonna play Ordina Open as warm-up tournament only. Hope she can win that title, since it's only a tier III.

and she'll be ranked 8th next monday. and Ordina's one week before wimbledon, so the ranking points there won't help her seeding...

A top 8 seeding for Wimbledon. Anna is trying to make her 3rd straight slam QF. And win this one.

Re: Anna's brief grass prep schedule

Do you guys think they'll give Anna the No.8 seed if she's ranked number 8 by June 18?? cause wimbledon has that stupid formula to calculate the seedings..

Re: Anna's brief grass prep schedule

Wimbledon don't use the seeding formula for the women. Or at least they didn't used to. But they keep changing their minds.

Re: Anna's brief grass prep schedule

I want to congratulate Anna on her highest ranking achieved thus far.
#8

As for her Wimby ranking, she should be ranked no lower than 10 even with Wimby's special grass biased ranking.
And I better not see V. Williams ranked ahead of Anna.

Re: Anna's brief grass prep schedule

Venus won't be ranked ahead of Anna for sure, i think.. Venus' too far behind. Anna's about 200 points ahead of #9, so if Wimbledon doesn't use that formula, then it's pretty safe that Anna will be seeded 8.
