Latvians and Lithuanians refused to move their only tournaments, Finns were not ready to co-operate with the Estonians and Swedes would have but ITF decided that it's too far a part.
But there are only 2 10Ks... Do you mean in the general region? Sweden is quite close...
I just can't quite fathom why Tallinn would choose this week? Maybe because it was the weakest weak but although they want a weak event, most of the Estonian Girls can't even play... Eva could win the tournmanet I am surprised Mia Nicole isn't playing

Week of July 28 has a 10k in Vilnius and week of August 4 has a 10k in Jurmala.

General Secretary of ETF Allar Hint publicly said stronger tournament might be more interesting for the fans, but weaker event gives a better chance for the local players to earn much needed points.

HAHA that explains the week choice I am surprised that they would openly say that Did they want Anett to play the 1st tournament?

So what countries are considered close enough to Estonia for it to be considered a "tour" Why didn't they have Saaremaa like last year in that time slot?

It's not like it's not a common knowledge.

Anett would have preferred 25k, 15k was a compromise.

ITF must approve it every time, but looks like Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and possibly Saint Petersburg?

Not sure about Saaremaa.

Stockholm is closer than places like Savitaipale though

Did the organisers really want Anett to play that much She probably would have played a 10K if they put one on. Perhaps Saaremaa lost sponsors?

My God Lera did OK As did Maria Lota Kaul

Re: Estonian Tennis

Not a bad result from Julia Should have watched the match It's such a shame Eva drew the only real decent player

Hopefully they make the Doubles SFs

EDIT: 5-3 0-30 for them I can't believe journeywoman Gulbe is going to beat Dean I'm happy to see Julia in Savitaipale

IK. I think it must have been an injury thing with her shoulder that she had against Eva. Gulbe is so average and Dean has been playing well recently so there is no real way to explain this loss...
