Re: poor hingis

even being tired she still plays some great tennis. I definitely think a fresher Martina could have take Momo out today. Martina has improved a lot!

very few girls in on tour would deal well with playing JUJU, NADIA and AMELIE on 3 successive in 3 sets.

But that's what you've gotta do at the YEC.

Re: poor hingis

People trashes her serve but her forehand really lacks punch. She hit it flatter earlier in her career

Re: poor hingis

She played a hell of a lot more than Amelie did.
Before this match, Amelie on won 4 games.

Re: poor hingis

What happens if Amelie loses to Justine? Then Nadia, Martina and Amelie will each be 1-2. In terms of sets, Nadia would be 3/4, Martina 4/5 and Amelie either 2/5 or 3/5. Does that mean Martina would qualify in SF?

Don't think so. Martina lose with Amelie, so in semis we will see JuJu and Amelie

Incorrect, because Juju beat Hingis, who beat Petrova, who beat Juju. They'd all cancel each other out in head-to-head.

I posted about this in the 'what are the tiebreaks in case of a tie?' thread a few moments ago check there for more detailed info.

If Justine def Amelie 2-1 or 2-0

Standing will be

1. Justine 3-0 SET W-L 6-1 or 6-2

2. Martina 1-2 SET W-L 4-5

3. Amelie 1-2 SET W-L 3-5

4. Petrova 1-2 SET W-L 3-4

If Amelie def Justine, then would be Justine & Amelie in the Semis
