TV in the US?

What channel? I heard it was going to be some weird channel that I'm not sure I have, but I forget what it is.

Luckily I have that I've never watched before in my life, though

Definitely a downgrade. Its kinda embarassing that such a big tournament is on small channel. I bet they'll devote a lot of time to it, though, so I guess it'll good for people who get the channel.

VERSUS To Air Sony Ericsson Championships

STAMFORD, CT, USA – VERSUS, a network that celebrates competition in all forms, announced Tuesday, October 10, that the network will air the upcoming Sony Ericsson Championships between November 7 and November 12. VERSUS will televise over 29 hours of the event, including all singles matches, from first ball to championship point. The Championships bring together the world's best female tennis players, with the top eight singles players and top four doubles teams from the regular season competing for the season-ending titles and a share of the $3 million purse. This year's event will likely see the World No.1 singles ranking on the line.

"We are very excited to bring the Sony Ericsson Championships to our viewers," said Marc Fein, Senior Vice President of Programming and Production for VERSUS. "Showcasing these great athletes on our network fits in perfectly with our brand of telecasting pure competition at its finest. The Championships are a great addition to the expanding roster of sports on VERSUS."

"We are thrilled to partner with a premier US broadcaster in VERSUS to bring the very best of women's professional tennis to American fans," said Sony Ericsson WTA Tour CEO Larry Scott. "The Sony Ericsson Championships features the world's best players in action, and we are excited to join the VERSUS lineup of premium global sporting events."

Full Schedule (subject to change):

Tuesday, November 7 – Friday, November 10 (all matches are singles)
Round Robin First Match - 12pm ET LIVE
Round Robin Second Match - 2pm ET LIVE
Round Robin Third Match - 4pm ET LIVE
Re-air of Best Match of the Day - 10:30pm ET

Saturday, November 11
Semifinals First Match - 5:30pm ET Same Day Delay
Semifinals Second Match - 7pm ET Same Day Delay

Sunday, November 12
Finals - 4pm ET Same Day Delay

Sounds pretty good, except for the same day delay deal, but its not that bad.

Tatiana Golovin, Timea Bacsinzky, Petra Kvitova, Kristina Mladenovic, Laura Robson

I am so totally psyched that I have Versus and will be able to watch. Thanks WTAWorld, I found out the Championships was going to be on it. I didn't even know I had it. Here's a link to see if you get it.

I have it, but for some reason, my Tivo says they're's lots of weird programs during the time which YEC should be on.

It's not on my cable line-up either. I want to record in on my DVR. I just emailed Versus about it.
