It's either windy or they've been out drinking together.

Lol, yea real bad match. Hope both can start to play better in next set, especially Maria. Is it because of the win that there is so little winners and so many errors??

Good Luck Justine Henin Hardenne, Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Mary Pierce, and any of my other favorites that I might have forgotten about at this moment.

I don't think Maria will care how ugly or pretty the match is as long as she wins. I know I'd feel the same with Serena.

maria's winners in the first set were two aces.

yeah..The wind in NY today is just terrible!! I am not surprised both of them r making UEs..The ball must be floating with the wind..Kinda like the type of shots Momo makes you play.Hope Na can get over her early jitters as she can be more consistent than masha...

At least Maria is having her costumary sloppy match against Li rather than someone like Serena.
I expect if she gets though this match Yuri will make her tighten up her shots, she'll be on those practice courts all day tomorrow.

I can't remember Maria playing that bad, even not when she got Doublebageld by Linds in Indian Wells 2005.

Sharapova is very tight so she plays safe short balls. And her defense is crap. If she wants to hit a winner she misses. Be Li a bit more calm match would be nearing its end and not with Sharapova as a winner.
