A little blurb from the RG website :

Mauresmo on the mend
At a press conference to present the outfit she’ll be sporting at the French Open, Amélie Mauresmo sought to reassure her supporters. The world no. 1 is feeling fine and her angina is nothing more than a nasty memory. “I’m disappointed that I was unable to defend my title in Rome, but I feel good now. I’m going to train all week at Roland-Garros,” revealed the player who will be the top seed at the tournament.

We want photos, darnit!

One small one

And one practicing:

And an article from L'Equipe via Yahoo (google-ized )

http://fr.sports.yahoo.com/22052006/...de-majeur.html

Roland Garros - Amelie Mauresmo - in Major Mode

“I go up in power”

The fever went up during one hour. Decreased by an angina and constraint with the fixed price in Rome last week, Amélie Mauresmo appeared in form to present its new line of clothing in front of a floor of journalists, gathered Monday in Boulogne. If the tendency of the behaviour is with orange, the form is with the green. “I go up gradually in power. I was sick all the week spent, it was a little difficult because I could not defend my title in Rome, explains number 1 world. But we took again the drive and I will be all the week with Roland-Garros to involve me under the conditions of the tournament.

Very slackened, it lent itself to a small procession out of white skirt and body orange flashy. But the fashion proves to be minor vis-a-vis the event. For the first time in the history of International of France, a tricolour player will wear the number of number 1 world. Some glosent already on the pressure inherent in this row. Beyond this commonplace, this statute could produce the contrary effect well. For its twelfth participation in the tournament, Amélie Mauresmo knew all, very heard and very lived. And today, it very proved. Number 1 world, victorious of a Large Slam, an EDF Cup, Masters… Who says better? Not large-world. Then the small music of the weight of the event becomes almost a refrain. Like a popular song, you do not taste the words inevitably, but you finish by you adapting it. “As I repeat it since my victory in Australia, I have the impression to have buckled the loop, to have achieved all my objectives, to have one of the most beautiful prize lists of French tennis and it is a great pride, pleads the Frenchwoman. Roland-Garros or Wimbledon, it is a little no-claims bonus. I am very motivated and I am in a hurry really to be able to play this tournament as a n°1, but I also think that it is no-claims bonus and one will see.

The unknown factor is under its physical condition and its six matches on beaten ground. Is it with court of preparation and reference mark on surface? Usually, it arrives haloed its titles to Rome or Berlin, of its small package of victories on beaten ground. This year, a reduced program, a severe defeat counters Justine Henin-Hardenne (6-1, 6-2) in Germany and an angina upsets gives it. “When I decided to give up in Rome, I said myself: it is a pity for the preparation, etc And at the same time, I said myself the previous years, I gained the tournament of Rome or fact final, I played well in Berlin and then that did not smile me more than that to Roland-Garros. Finally, it is a different preparation and it will be interesting to see what that gives”, explains the head of series n°1 which acknowledged to appreciate the rational one. However its “casaque” news leaves the place to empiricism. And the recent experiment invites to pragmatism…

“HINGIS EAST PLUS AFFÛTEE”

The victory of Martina Hingis in Rome does not have really surprised Amélie Mauresmo. “One felt it since his return. Since the beginning of the season, it is very close, initially to beat the best - than it made since that it beat Sharapova. I find that it plays better than when it stopped three years ago. It really evolved/moved on the physical level because it sinned on this level a few years ago. It is felt more sharpened, more resistant and more opportunist. One spoke about it with Loïc (Courteau) and he said to me very early in the tournament perhaps that it would go to the end.

AMÉLIE ALWAYS

19. In the period from January to April 2006 Dr. Skalny sent very detailed messages to Ms Sharapova [...]: “Mildronate 1-2 X 10, repeat in 2 wks (before training or competition)”; “1 hr before competition, 2 pills of Mildronate”; “During games of special importance, you can increase your Mildronate dose to 3-4 pills (1 hr before the match). However, it is necessary to consult me on all these matters (please call)”; “30 minutes prior to a training session: Mildronat – 1 Capsule. 30-45 minutes prior to a tournament Mildronat 2 capsules”.

Thanks for the pics and article Linnie!

A slightly bigger picture (with thanks to Corinne Dubreuil)

Apparently the top is 'orange flashy' - I'm not sure what this means, perhaps it has a sparkly thread in the material...? I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
