Well, you know how patient I am
Like I said earlier, she's got plenty of time to rest, she'll be super ready

Re: Sammy on Grass

As Diana says "one match at a time".
She first plays in Eastbourne, let see what happen there and then we can talk about Wimby

Re: Sammy on Grass

Let's go for the whole fucking thing!!! Let's win Wimbledon Samoid!!

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

This should be our slogan now or something after what's happened in Paris I just can't wait to get to Wimbledon to see what Sam can do, although I'm not expecting anything like what we got in Paris.

Re: Sammy on Grass

I was watching a bit of the Aegon Championships and I don't really see why Sam wouldn't do well. All that she's accomplished this year on clay could be just the thing to have prepared her for grass. Other than the issue of her kick serve being dampened, it seems like she would have an advantage with how much spin she puts on the ball and how low the ball will bounce. I think she's also really good at returning low balls as well and it allows her to really pick it up and put spin on it. That being said, I've never played on grass or clay, so really, I don't know what I'm talking about. I just REALLY want to see Sam do well, but as the motto goes, one match at a time.

btw, this is my first time posting here, i'll make a proper introduction over in the smash'em fam thread.

As official mascot I feel that it is my duty to prepare the grass courts at Eastbourne by nibbling it into tip top condition.

Dunno if it's a good idea Remember that players need some grass to play on, I'm not sure you'll know when to stop nibbling
