At least she didn't needed surgery but i'd rather give up the idea to see her in January and think she'll be back in February/March !

With a back injury she wont know for sure until she plays real matches.
Sometimes it heals up quick, or like Golovin it can be a long term problem.

playing warm-up tournament would be stupid. Even if she is healthy, she'll be total out of shape/form, and the early travel and play would disarrange her training method and AO would suck too.

I think playing Australia at all would be pretty stupid. If she shows up, I think I'll be kind of disappointed. You know, unless it's obvious that she's completely healed. (Which I can't imagine, but I guess stranger things have happened.)

even if we talkin' about Dinara, the stupidity has different levels. (ouch, if she read this ) i mean playing only AO is less stupid then playing Brisbane 2 weeks before AO.

not like i'll trust her anytime soon when she talks about injuries, and i refuse to believe this injury healed already...

That is true, 2 extra weeks is better than 0 extra weeks.

(And for the record, personally I don't think Dinara's dumb at all. I think she's young and inexperienced and naive. That is not the same as dumb. Kisses, Dina, honey. )

The thing that confuses me the most about this is that in general her team has been really good at preventative injury care. I mean, some things obviously you can't prevent, but having played through this back injury seems very out of character to me. I think in the end it probably really speaks to how much pressure she felt to prove herself as #1, and it's sad that it ended up driving her to such a serious injury.

i'm sure she wants continue her suicid stubborn self-proving mission, "to show everyone, she is worthy"... just writing this already got me nausea this is what we see the "dumb-factor".

of course she is on the Entry list of Brisbane. hope she doesn't forget the new adidas line, with the cross-hair on the back.

You say dumb, I say overstressed. If you want to judge her intelligence by how she reacted to a situation most people have no concept of, well... I guess that's your prerogative.

I'm hoping this is more contractual than anything else. It's not like it would be the first time someone who was obviously injured was on an entry list right up until the week before a tournament.
