Re: The Kichenok Sisters Cheering thread!

A great win over Kumkhum and it seems she showed great Mental Strength, quite enigmatic of Ukrainians
Also she won the Doubles title so this really is turning into an awesome week

A winnable match but Koehler did easily beat an in-form Lim but Nadiya is better than Alize

Nadiya beat Maria in the final, 6-4, 7-5! So happy for her.

Re: The Kichenok Sisters Cheering thread!

YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!
This is an amazing result for Nadiya
I am really starting to take her seriously
A 100K Double is no mean feat

She has an awkward 1st Round vs Pervak but she could/should win that and then Kozlova/Buyukakcay would also be tough
Svitolina in the QFs would be an almost impossible win IMO but anything is possible when playing at home and she has to be on an all time confidence high

Remember both playing ITF Rancho Mirage in 2010 or something Pity they aren't playing California ITFs any more.

I thought Lyuda would be having this breakthrough if I'm honest, not Nadiya, but I've always preferred Nadiya slightly, so I don't mind!

IK I remember watching her vs Stosur and thought that she was gonna be big while I didn't pay much attention to Nadiya I really hope she does break through and make Top 100

Oh yeah, I remember that match at the Fed Cup, Lyuda played very well....I think she still has a great chance of doing it, but it seems like Nadiya has the confidence atm. Hopefully Lyuda can get some of the magic soon.

Re: The Kichenok Sisters Cheering thread!

Congrats to the twins! Both of them had a great week, but the list of players that Nadiya beat in order to win the singles is pretty impressive -- Beygelzimer(#197), Panova(#141), Kumkhum(#118), Koehler(#124) -- so she has got to be ecstatic.

With regards to Lyudmyla, I think that the only thing that is holding her back is that she has had a hard time staying healthy. If she can stay healthy, I think that Lyuda can make it into the Top 40 one of these days. But, on the other hand, Nadiya is starting to show that she is a pretty special player too, so who knows which of them will end up going the furthest? Time will tell...

This is where Fed Cup was isn't it
Still, I am so happy She has such a lovely game and really can make Top 100

I am sad to say this but is it maybe time to separate threads, I mean Nadiya is getting virtually all the attention

EDIT: I was just watching major parts of the match and I don't know exactly who it is but Nadiya's game reminds me of someone's Maybe Kirilenko
She is actually good enough IMO right now to be Top 100 She has the attitude, Serve, Return , net skills and speed to be that highly ranked and seems to be a bit more agressive now Really can't wait for US Open

I am hoping to get to see her on a livestream in Donets'k by they seem to be worse than last year

Why should we separate the thread into two if Lyuda's will probably end up getting no attention? I'm sorry, but that doesn't exactly sound fair to me. The Kichenoks aren't just sisters, they are a team. Personally, I think that it is great that this thread reflects that about their relationship.
