Katya d. Amanda Keen 6-2 6-3 :bigclap:  :yippee: :bounce: :worship:

She was only broken once during the match :yeah:

After 3 service games, she had 6 aces and 2 double faults. Her serve slowed down a bit after that, but she produced aces at 0-0, 15-0 and 40-0 in the final game of the match to end with 10 aces and 5 double faults :D

Katya had a BP to go up 6-0 *4-0, then had a major meltdown :help:

yeah,it's a pity for Sania   I would have prefered a true win but Katya is for the first time of her career in a QF of a Tier2 tournament :yeah: She will be back in the top 100 next week :D
Good luck for tomorrow!:D

The scoreboard froze at Katya/Alona 2-6 6-2 *0-5 ADV-40 :help:

They have already saved MPx2

They were broken in the 2nd game of the 3rd set after saving BPx2 and then blowing a GP. In the 3rd game, they led 40-0* and had another BP chance, but couldn't convert :tape:. They were then broken again in the 4th game :help:

Katya will most likely face Jelena Jankovic in the QF

According to Eggy's rankings, Katya will be ranked #92 if she doesn't go any further this week (although I hope that she does  ). That will be a new career-high  (she was ranked #94 in August last year).

Jankovic d. Camerin 6-0 6-1, so Katya has a tough assignment ahead of her

According to a Croatian poster, teletext said that Groenefeld/Shaughnessy d. Katya/Alona 6-2 2-6 6-0 :help: :bigcry:
